Tbh refusal while a hard choice makes sense if you're the ultimate paragon with morals or the ultimate renegade that just want to see everything burn. Renegade explains itself But paragon would be a moral conflict. Control theres no telling if shepard at some point will lose his sanity due to the nature of countless wars that will follow regardless because some race in the galaxy will try to establish dominance and shepard tells the illusive man that nobody is ready to have and understand that kind of power so he personally wouldn't choose control. Destroy make sense if you plan to end the reapers but then you'd leave the galaxy open for all the surviving leviathan across the entire galaxy to enslave everyone again. Plus new weapons of mass destruction will be build and the cycle of synthetic and organic will happen again shepard would definitely destroy the reapers because thats what he been working for 3 games lol And synthesis you're basically dooming life because youre forcing everyone to go thru the final evolution of life and dooming future organism to create more life and shepard would feel he/she doesn't have the rights to do that which is why refusal is such an underrated ending. Youre basically playing into what that little shit wants the starchild could've sent the reapers back where they came from and even end the harvesting cycle and simply didn't wanted to hes outdated with the current cycle which wasn't as bad as te previous ones and was running on auto pilot until shepard got his attention. Those 3 choices youre given is basically giving the starchild his own cake and let him eat it. Refusal is the only choice where shepard isn't giving into the bs. I think the best two would be destroy or refusal

man these endings are..... hard. while destroy guarantees the end of reapers it doesn't truly break the cycle the reapers were trying to solve anyways in the future people would rebuild synthetics and the cycle would continue not to mention there are still living leviathans that could come out of hiding and try and reclaim their control with reapers gone. control or synthesis seems more likely what paragon shep would choose but synthesis just seems.... too good now knowing 4 is coming.
