Very nice setup! Do you find the 2 gallon compressor to be sufficient for all you pneumatic needs? Pulling vacuum on cooling system, running impact gun, etc.....? Also, how are you powering the compressor and how do you charge your batteries for electric tools?
@jayvismobilemechanic92502 жыл бұрын
Good day thank you, on the air compressor I really don’t use it much just to blow off dirt and fill tires most of the time. All my tools are cordless the chargers and air compressor is powered by a 1000w inverter. For a mobile set up cordless power is the way to go.

Love the set up man. May I ask how you mounted it to the van so it won’t move? Any help would be appreciated. I’m setting up something very similar to maintenance my trucks. Thank you much!!!!
@jayvismobilemechanic92502 жыл бұрын
Thanks I pulled all the drawers and bolted it through the floor with oversized washers underneath and added heavy duty L brackets to the rear of the box. Did the same thing on my newer set up check that one out.

@@jayvismobilemechanic9250 I did saw the new ford. Looks amazing. Thanks for the heads up man. If by any chance you add to your fleet. Post a video on how to set the box and stuff up. I think it would be helpful. Thank you so much for that info!!

Nice. Is it too heavy for the suspension? Did you put a constantly load suspension or airbags? Thanks
@jayvismobilemechanic92502 жыл бұрын
Thanks no at all does not affect the ride what so ever they are made to hold some weight, they are leafspring. My 2016 transit is springs and it also rides smooth with even more weight .

Thats cute it looks like a toddlers toy van lol rookies. There’s two types of mechanics the ones that know how to work on everything and the ones who only replace drive belts and filters. How can you tell the difference? The type of work vehicle and tools they have. You don’t even have a/c gauges
@taylorcheramie67532 жыл бұрын
There's actually a couple different types of mechanics. Auto body mechaincs are the worst (if you would even call them mechanics). 99 percent are parts changers and not actual mechanics. Real mechanics troubleshoot. Most real mechanics are the ones found working on equipment made from the 50s to the 90s.
@RichipaIdi2 жыл бұрын
Nice rig. I also run a mobile mechanic job. I tried putting the tool chest like you did and had a big inconvenience; I was loosing control of the rear. My rear suspension coils were struggling too with the weight. Do you have the same problems?
@jayvismobilemechanic92502 жыл бұрын
Thanks no issues with weight at all can handles like it was empty, these are built to handle the weight.
@RichipaIdi2 жыл бұрын
@@jayvismobilemechanic9250 thank you. Your vehicle looks a little lower to the ground. Probably that helps with the stability. I’ll check my struts too, see if that is mainly the issue.

When you opened the back doors, I was impressed. Very nice 👍. I don't understand some mobile mechanics when they hardly have any tools. They limit themselves for the type of work and vehicles. I like the setup. Hopefully you will have a successful business.
