Usually they do, but I have seen a noticeable difference in the quality of newer Japanese sets. It’s still a pretty high standard but it is lower than before so 10’s are not guaranteed

I wish I had a Japanese supplier!! I got this booster case from Yahoo Auctions using Buyee as a proxy service to bid for me and to ship it. You pay a small fee to Buyee for the service but it’s only a couple of pounds/dollars

Ahh nice! Haven't ever looked there for products before! Perhaps an add-on question, in your previous videos you've done a lot of PSA grading, do you submit these yourself or use a middleman?

I submit the cards myself. I used to use a middleman service about 5 years ago but it’s really easy to submit them yourself and cheaper so just do it all myself now. The step by step instructions on the PSA website are easy to follow

I’ve known about people doing this for a while, but for me I don’t like the idea of asking someone else to underreport the value of an item as if it went missing for example, they wouldn’t be able to make a claim for the real value. Thanks for the comment, hope to see you back in the future 🙂

Yep, always tough to spend so much and not get a lot back 😔 I don’t have any attachment to Evolving Skies as it largely passed me by. I opened a few packs of Lost Origin and got some nice pulls so have more love for it.

You’re probably right, the V cards from these packs are most likely rarer, just crazy luck to get the same card that many times. I thought there were be a bit more of an even distribution

I pulled the Nessa from a VMax Climax god pack. Annoyingly, I went through my old submission paperwork and I clicked on the wrong card when submitting it and it wasn’t corrected at PSA 😞

@@nocommpokemon I think you should try submitting a Japanese Pokémon card as an English Version to see if it is Corrected by PSA, If Not it would be a Cool Error Tagged Graded Card.

The only card I know that’s from usgmen is the Mew. The Mr Mime and Hypno in this video are drawn by Ooyama

Oh really? I have had a few 5’s previously that I couldn’t work out why it had been given that grade. I’ve generally just put it down to something I missed when looking over the card

@@nocommpokemon I heard as well that 5s are usually card being not graded because they had too many to deal with back during the big hype and if they didn't look like a 5 they easilly get regraded higher

Really like those two, although I do wish the colour difference between the original and shiny versions was more obvious

I wasn’t sure I liked the English packaging for this, but now I think at least at isn’t just a plain black box 😂 Really like the extra holo on the borders and the energies really stand out. I think the Japanese cards just look a lot better overall compared to the English product

I am from the UK. I send the cards off to PSA myself. Just fill out the submission stuff on the website then ship it to PSA using international postage with Royal Mail. Costs about £20 for the postage there. The return postage cost depends on how many cards you’ve sent, but a 50 card submission might be around £60.

I don’t. I check for any bits of dust or dirt and use my finger to get it off and that’s about it

When I’m looking at cards to send in I look for the centring of the card to make sure the border is even all the way around, any whitening along the edge of the card (small white dots). I also check the surface for any scratches, dents or creases. I don’t have a video of going through how I look at cards but when I do my next submission I’ll make a video of what I’m sending and how I choose the cards I do

I agree! Look for whitening along the corners first before you look at the centering. All cards that I've sent that had acceptable centering but a white spot in the corner received an 8 or 9 for a grade.

@@Koby93 ​​⁠ Whitening is the main thing that stops me sending cards for grading, as it’s a very obvious thing to see and get knocked down a grade. I have sent cards in recently that have had one tiny white dot in the corner and they’ve still got 10’s so it’s not always an exact science
