During my health journey, I have learned that it's our N.E.A.T. (Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) that gives us the lion share of our activity during the day, not that 30mins to 1hr of exercise we do. Google that and also look up people such as Dr. Layne Norton and Menno Henselmans. I am still on the hunt for a female PhD in nutrition science. I know she's out there somewhere. It sounds like this is why she is saying don't count the workout in the daily steps. That's how I'm interpreting this.

Thanks for sharing! Oh! 156G of protein!! OMG… 50+ grams per meal. 🥘 that’s an uphill battle! . The struggle is real!! Would love to see what that looks like for you in a sustainable, long-term way when you get there. ❤❤
@LibryiaJones13 күн бұрын
GIRL LISTEN!!! IT'S WILD. But I eat about 5 times per day - breakfast, lunch, snack 1, snack 2, and dinner. So it's actually more like 30 grams per meal and i get close or hit it a lot more often than I used to. A few things I've done that have helped are: Use cottage cheese in my eggs at breakfast Eat beans or lentils at breakfast Eat high protein yogurt for snack. I have a yogurt that's like 20g of protein that I pair with some granola My 2nd snack is usually a super low fat/high protein meat like sardines (i love sardines so this works OR shrimp w/ cucumbers or tuna with cucumbers If I'm behind, I can always drink some chicken broth with dinner. Kettle & Fire has a broth that's like 10g of protein. But I am going to ask my nutrition coach how these macros might change when I get closer to a maintenance period.
@Nacole_Lashoun3 күн бұрын
@@LibryiaJones1 Oh Wonderful ideas! Thanks for sharing! I’m working on the protein too! 💜

I can't get to that number at all. At someone who is lactose and egg intolerant, I don't know how to get there. I eat mostly whole foods and I can't stuff enough protein into the day without being stuffed and/or exceeding my calories.

Hello and new here from exodus summit from CO founders Stephanie perry and roshida dowe and yes , l can relate to managing weight, it's challenging but lately everything in moderation and your homeless situation at least you are getting income,just not your own home and Stephanie trusted house sitting sounds interesting and I heard senior citizens some of them do this but I am not sure since I have a dog and maybe the house hosts won't like me bringing a dog. Your future travels sounds awesome. And at least your daughter has a village.

Hiiiii, you are sooooo interesting, open minded and refreshing!!! ( and pretty too!). May I suggest, take your daughter with you for the 2 months in Asia!!! Now that she is receptive, show her that the world is her oyster!! Pass on your BEAUTIFUL FREE SPIRIT!! If she doesn't need the life lessons now she still has them to round out her personality! Take this time to build a friendship and not a duty! I planned to do that but my daughter got married early and I never got the chance...😢
@LibryiaJones112 күн бұрын
@@theyoungs100 thank you so much! **blushing** And thank you for the suggestion. My daughter can’t go away for that long. She’s working (just started a new job this week 🙌🏾) and she just started school. …between 2010 to now, we have been to maybe 20 countries together AND I sent her to spend a month in Brazil without me in 2013, plus in 2016 we embarked on a year abroad staying in 4 different countries for 3 months each…so she better already know the world is her oyster! But she can visit me on school breaks! She’s already a free spirit (sometimes too free 😒). We also have an INCREDIBLE friendship already, one that I’m so proud of and happy about. I do hope even though your daughter is married you’re still able to find ways to build a friendship…perhaps set aside some mother/daughter vacations or staycations. **hugs**

She also likes to run things by me, and we have some great convos and video chats. She still aggravates me to no end lol. It works. Belated birthday greetings! Also, when you're really tired, you will do what you do, and let us know on the back end. 😂

I feel you on this. I’m very similar to you. I’m extremely comfortable with ambiguity and am a person who cherishes the present moment. Certainly does not mean that I do not plan, but I do value the present moment and I do not get anxious about the future. At this particular time of my life, I really require flexibility so certain lifestyles and pursuits that my peers and even family members are immersed in, or even the one that I used to be immersed in, just do not appeal to me at this time. I too value, freedom, flexibility, and autonomy over my time and movement. I also was tired of high rent in what were often large metropolitan cities of my former employment path. I’m definitely “trying” to be homeless. Unbound by any location and excessive possessions and physical real estate at this time in my for various reasons. Step one for me was taking the option that you listed us option 4: I moved in with my parents as a 32-year-young woman so I could prepare the runway for a much desired transition from a particular corporate career and corresponding lifestyle.
@LibryiaJones117 күн бұрын
I love that you seem to be so very clear on your needs and you have a clear direction on how to get to what you want. I believe there is NOTHING wrong with moving back in with our parents. I'm 46 and this is I think my 4th time doing it. I have such a great relationship with my parents and they love having me around. The first time I moved back in with them I was in college. The 2nd time I was in grad school and had gotten pregnant. The 3rd time I had just finished my year abroad and was BROKE!! Staying with them helped me get back on my feet and helped me pay off $40k worth of debt!!!! So I feel zero shame about it. Cheers to you getting the freedom and flexibility you need in this life!
