Windbag is a relatively good first boss. Anubis rex is too hard to be a second boss, mostly because the only place you're safe is right in front of him. (Where you can still be hit by a tornado if your in the wrong spot) King galaxian is a tedious and repetitive boss without a variety of attacks. ( That's the main reason Anubis rex is so hard is because he has so many attacks that he can release all at the same time). The clown racers are an ok boss depending on how you look at it. The ice physics, along with the bounce back if you hit them, are what make this boss a little difficult. The krome keeper is a very slow paced boss fight that requires the metal pac to defeat. If you have time on your hands, this boss can be sped up slightly. Toc man is (in my opinion) a little too easy for a final boss. It is a very straightforward boss with only four attacks. Although there are ghosts there to act as interference, it is still a very straightforward boss with a decent second phase and a weak third phase.

Namco let Blitz make this game but gave them less time to polish it and no further funding. Welp, at least it didn't have a lot of bugs. I'm kind of impressed with what they were able and also willing to make considering the whole situation. Also surprised how many devices this game was released on, even the Nintendo DS, which isn't quite the most powerful device nor known for a lot of 3D platformers. Anyway, great review/retrospective!

Thanks for the game review! Yeah... I was the Producer on this game, working with a first-time game development group in Montreal. All of your feedback is spot on and as i remember it. A lot of these Tom & Jerry games were done with almost no budget and suffered from a lack of polish (not the team's fault: no time, had to make Christmas). The mechanics were confusing, but that was really a product of the time - we had manuals that explained things, and in-game tutorials were really only given attention on bigger budget titles. It was a blast to make, got to visit Montreal a few times and I am still fond of my development partners there. The best thing about it is, yes, I get to say I made a game where Tom & Jerry go to hell. I'm still surprised that WB signed off on this. Happy to see it being played and good to hear you enjoyed "War of the Whiskers"!
