Hi, is this gimbal support for cinema pro app.. with stabilization.
@neriomorenove7 күн бұрын
excellent. I still have filmic pro, it's still great despite what you say, but I also bought mcpro24fps which I think is a great app, it really has taken my phone to another level, little by little I manage to improve the quality by investing in dedicated lights for video and improving filming techniques.

@gomakefilms I been watching you’re content for years now. I have two questions. My first is I want to create my own company for film making. I wish to start in a year. How do I start as far as trademarking a name goes . do you have any websites or can you point me in the right direction? P.s. I live in the U.S if that helps , Second question I know you film with a variety of different phones . My question is how do you get rid of the nasty lens flares that the iPhone has if all possible. I hope you can answer my questions .Happy New year
@gomakefilms22 күн бұрын
@@natejustfilm4762 hi firstly thank you for supporting my work. Secondly Im not I have very clear answers for you. Starting a company and trademark in the USA will be very different to the laws in the UK and I would not be the right person to advise you on. that. As for lens flares on iPhone (ghosting) there is no way of rectifying that issue. You just have to learn how to avoid the issue occurring and that comes down to the angle of shot and movement. The issue is caused partly due to the chemical coating used on the lens, but also the light bounces off the inner metal rings around the lens that then causes the light flares across it. ND filters (even at night) can greatly reduce the issue but not entirely get rid of it.
@natejustfilm476221 күн бұрын
@gomakefilms thank you so much for your reply. I understand that the trademark process will be a bit different. I was hoping you could share what the process was for you. I will eventually purchase the Xperia mark 1 VI . I know that Sony has it’s on video profiles , do you know if I can use the black magic camera app and the tilta nano II which I have on the Xperia?

I appreciate the teaser, and it looks epic. May I ask you what you think the minimum amount of help you think would be required to pull off something like this? I've shot a few things myself, but I also had to address lighting, sound (the didn’t show up) , act, and direct 2 actors while leading the script. I found the process exhausting. I learned a great deal from it, but when you try to wear so many hats at once in a 10 hour window, you miss things. I ended up having to scrap a project, but I would love to shoot it again.
@gomakefilms24 күн бұрын
thanks for comment. Answering your first question, I shot the teaser on my own, using any available light there was. I had one assistant with me that filmed all the behind the scenes footage. Answering your second question - if you are working with out any budget its going to be really tough going. I have launched my SMART FILM 101 how to make a film using a smartphone - the course shows you how to simplify the process and shoot a visually driven film on your own www.mobilefilmmaking.com - if you continue to work alone because of budget restraints you must contain and control more visually driven stories that are more manageable.

@cassius Awesome episodes . Thank you for sharing. Would you mind answering a few question? I'm using an Iphone 15 (not the Pro). 4K, 10 bits, Filmic Extreme, normal lens, LogV3, 25P, fixed 1/48; fixed iso (35-100), auto focus. 1. How do you achieve so smooth lateral travelling (example; at 1'16 " in episode 3) or pans? When I pan or move the camera laterally, I have stutter/judder/strobe effect,, however it is called, if is awful. 2. Why chose to CROP to 2.39:1 instead of only showing the visual guide? If you record the cropped version you can't reposition verticallly in post in needed 3. Why shoot close up shots in wide angle lens? To make the audience unconfortable? And knowing that in wide lens, Autofocus is not available 4. Did you encounter technical issues like iphone overheating or framerate issues because the iphone is pushed to the limits or Filmic Pro crashes? 5. Filming in high res/specs quickly fills the iphone storage; and the battery depletes very quickly. How did you manage these limits? Did you have to stop shooting to offload the footage and recherge the battery? 6. Did you need ADR? 7. Did you shoot in manual focus mostly? Did you have out of focus footage because of that? 8. Slomo: if > 30fps: no 4k in 10bit + LOGv3 available, right? You used FHD 10bit logv3 60fps capture-24fps playback?
@charlestnacofАй бұрын
@cassius: how do you pan so smoothly? Whenever I pan at 24p there is always a judder, it is unusable.
@gomakefilmsАй бұрын
without knowing exactly what you are doing its hard to say why you have that problem. It's certainly nothing to do with it being 24fps - itll bw down to how you are operating the pans eiher by hand or on a gimbal. really not sure why you are getting a judder
@charlestnacofАй бұрын
With low iso (50) on iphone 12 the autofocus is struggling and constantly reajusting back and forth (seems to be better at iso 200 and up). Does everyone experience this? Also the width of area where it is reading the depth seems to vary depending on the iso (the reticle area is useless). If i focus on the background and bring some foreground object near the reticle, depending on the iso the autofocus will react when the foreground object is closer to the reticle.
@gomakefilmsАй бұрын
firslty - using a higher ISO will cause more noise in the image. secondly in this video will see that I am using manaul focus not auto focus under the conditions. Under low light auto focus will always struggle. aviod using the recticles for either focusing or auto exposures in these situations

Will it handle the T series 18 and 58mm lenses from Moment? Or should I go with the 5S?With regards to Filmic Pro - that's a dying app IMO. Blackmagic and Final Cut Camera Apps have pretty much made Filmic Pro a dying app IMO
@gomakefilmsАй бұрын
@@cliffetzelphoto to answer your first question the smooth 5s will cope with the external lens - but it will be max - so any complicated fast movement shots and you will probably get some issues. Best was to check is look for the maximum weight capacity of gimbals - then Weigh your phone and any additional extras to know what you need. On a second note - this video is old and at the time filmic pro was the godfather of mobile filmmaking and will remain so in history. Blackmagic is a great app but I don’t recommend the Final Cut app at all 👍🏻

It took me a while to figure out the default passcode for it to pair mine with my Android phone. I did manage though, but it doesn't show up in the Blackmagic app after I toggle the Bluetooth option in accessories. Any suggestions to troubleshoot this problem? Or is it specific to Android?
@gomakefilms2 ай бұрын
@@greystrokeofficial depending on what android you use I would check the specs with black magic camera app as some features maybe missing. I know they are rolling out the app to different androids but it could also be to do with firmware updates at different stages meaning not all menu functions are available at this time.
@greystrokeofficial2 ай бұрын
@gomakefilms thanks a lot for your time. I'm using the app on a Pixel 6A running Android 14. Perhaps a newer phone will fare better with this. You're right that the rollouts are staggered, depending perhaps on what gets done first. If I find something on this I shall report back in case anyone is looking for the info. Of course, I could switch to an iPhone but that would be too easy! 😄 (I'm just keen to find out what I can do with my Pixel and my anamorphic lens adapter. The follow focus would certainly change my game.)

Im using the same phone, but im curios why my 120FPS are so noisy compared to your video. Any advices?
@gomakefilms3 ай бұрын
difficult to answer as I don't know your settings but in general I keep the ISO as low as possible and use an ND filter to keep the right exposure level. ISO is usually the cause of more noise in the image as it behaves like a gain level - the more you increase it the more noise appears in the shadows etc
