This is new to me. Is this the same as George Baker Selection? The melody is very familiar. Another unique selection. Well done John.

Yes, it's George Baker Selection. I hadn't heard it before it was requested. Nice easy melody in the key of C :)

Yet another excellent tutorial. I see that Dick Van Dyke is 99 years old. Do you remember that he had a song called ‘Three Wheels On My Wagon’. Just putting it out there.
@LetterNotePlayerАй бұрын
I just listened to 3 wheels 🛞 😀 Had never heard it before. Very interesting ... like a wagon wheel song in the style of some of the 60's car songs 🎵 Great ending when the Cherokees sing with him :)

I like your letter notes. The lighted keys you are playing lets me see where you are. It would be great if each note had the octave number with it. Last date changes octaves often making it hard to figure out. The lyrics might help to keep the tempo. I tried to donate, but another site hi jacked me, but the credit card company stopped the transaction. I am a 78year old beginner, hoping to learn the song last date. Thanks I will try to Donate again.
@LetterNotePlayerАй бұрын
No need to donate. I don't use octave numbers, but I do a lot with arrows. The videos help with the all of those octave jumps. I do have lots of songs up that are easier to play than Last Date. Let me know how it goes. Glad go help :)

Great job! Love this tune! I can almost feel the snowflakes falling when I play it. Any chance you could teach Linus and Lucy? I have a 61 key keyboard similar to yours, and all the tutorials I can find for Linus and Lucy are for a full size piano. I would need at least an extra octave and I run out of notes at some parts. It would be great to know a 61 key version of it.
@LetterNotePlayerАй бұрын
Thanks. So glad to help. I've started on Linus & Lucy several times (1st request came in 2013 ) ... always pushed aside as other requests come in. I'll get back on it and try to finish it up :) I'll try to put the opening part up on the website as a "work in progress" ... then you can start working on it right away and add to it as I expand the letter notes. It's not easy ... but it's playable on 61 keys ... and fun to play. There's a poly-rythms between the 2 hands; falls together by practicing hands separately and then slowly when you play hands together. Videos will help.
@markmorabito1643Ай бұрын
@LetterNotePlayer Glad to heard that you're working on it! The main part isn't too bad, it's the "da da da da" part where I run out of notes, and also at the end where there's a run up and then both high and low notes at the same time. I can't figure out how to adapt those parts for a 61 key keyboard without sounding weird. Then of course there are the two solos which I just struggle so much with. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
