I’ve just got to get me one of those Cold Handle skillets. I believe yours is an 8-inch skillet and that seems to be a good size for stowing in a daypack. Impressive “jet stove.” Although 8 or 10 pounds in stove weight is a lot of pack weight. I believe that using a camp stove, whenever the forest is so dry, is a good idea. Building camp fires under extremely dry conditions with a little wind can easily get out of hand. Looks a cold morning in the woods, but a good hot meal will sure warm you up. I appreciate Mr. Mike Reed taking us along on this adventure and sharing the information on this camp stove. - Tennessee Smoky
