Does this help with being able to sing with a more soulful/powerful/full voice?
@yuchinbossajazz Жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, it should help as to sing powerfully, you’d need to train your diaphragmatic breathing which would be the core of your power. These exercises would act as the same as going to the gym. You’d need them to strengthen your core and prepare yourself to do what you’d like to achieve. Hope it helps! :)

My neighbours will thing I've sprung a leak but at least I'm not disturbing them
@jovenasorx75642 жыл бұрын
Quick questions. Am I supposed to keep my stomach muscles tight as I breathe out? I'm new to knowing what my diaphragm is supposed to feel like when it's being used. Also, when I breathe into my stomach as you say, am I supposed to prevent my chest from rising up with air? My stomach does inflate first, but when it's full, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to count that as a full breath, or let my lungs fill up next.

Hello! Thanks for the comment and trying out the exercises! If you imagine that your body is like a balloon, when you let the air go, the balloon will shrink. The stomach would neutrally get tighter (flatter) as you exhale and have less and less air store up in your stomach. In these exercises, we are focusing on the diaphragmatic breathing and if we could try focusing on breathing into the stomach only it would be ideal. Alternatively, you can lie down on your back and put some books on your stomach and just trying to move them as you inhale and exhale. That way you might be able to get the sense of diaphragmatic reaching. A little more? Hope it helps! :)

@yuchinbossajazz Жыл бұрын
Hello Lily! If possible I’d recommend doing this exercises once a day everyday. You can do more if you wish but doing it everyday ( or even few times a week) would really make the difference! Happy singing! :)

You're video was amazing! I love all these exercises but I do have a question. When we are actively singing a song, do we breathe from the mouth or the nose?
@yuchinbossajazz3 жыл бұрын
Hello Kim! Thanks for the sweet comment! Breathing through your is more to train the deep breathing so it would probably be quicker to breath through your mouth when actually singing. But when I hold the note or sing in high range I’d definitely breath through my mouth. Hope it helps :)
