Every time I have seen this done in a book binding video it seems like an unecessarily large section is cut off. Is there a problem with making this strip as thin as possible?
@bookbindingandmarbling42112 жыл бұрын
Yes, i totally agree with you, but the problem is that we don't have a sustitute.. i've tried the glass paper to soften the papers but the result wasn't quite satisfying ( as good as this one) Still trying to find a better on ❤
@alexeng192 жыл бұрын
@@bookbindingandmarbling4211 Does it just not work with a thinner strip?
@bookbindingandmarbling42112 жыл бұрын
@@alexeng19 generally i cut strips of 0,5 cm but i can make it thinner with a sharper blade

Oh I like this method so much! I did my first book binding a couple of weeks ago & even if I’m happy with how it ended up I know it could still be better. I’ll be trying your way next time :) seems a bit trickier but I really like it! I was wondering, is there a way you could tell us how you made the base you use to do this? The apparatus where you bind the book I mean ^^’ I’m sorry, I’m not very good at English, hope you understand what I mean ^^.

it's beautiful but wouldn't wet books cause mold?
@bookbindingandmarbling42113 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting No at all , no mold with marbling.. .i.e.( it's not just a mere water) The paper absorbs colors and let dry..
