Hi nice video. How has the mold aged? Does it hold up against its competitors in 1/35? Cheers!
@hobby-wankenobi2 күн бұрын
Thanks. The detail is sharp and all over the place. I’m sure the 1/35ths are even better, but you can’t compare the two scales anyway.

I love th small scratch building details that you did in the cockpit. That was what appeared to be a simple modification that added a lot of detail. Great job! I am looking forward to the rest of the build.

Your skill at painting each individual knob and switch on a 1/48 scale cockpit is amazing! I wish I could still paint like that, but age does take a toll. I now dry brush my cockpit panels with gray and white paints and then use some detail marking with watercolor pencils. So, as we age, we have to compensate because I refuse to give up my hobby without a fight!

Damn, that masking on the manual should've been a standard for every bomber. Such a pain on 1/72 or 1/144 kits

Maybe it should be standard for all kits.

I.have always liked this aircraft. I do want to get this kit. I have the ICM 32nd kit in Hungarian service. Wanna talk complicated? The cockpit is crazy detailed and broken down.

Good afternoon my friend, that truly great work on the build so far, it would have been a great feat to have shot down a Me-109 while flying one of these aircraft, good luck with the next stage of the build, best regards from Australia, Les

Hi Jason, shame about the fit issues because the detail looked pretty good, filling and sanding ugh! joy beyond measure. The result didn't suffer though. You mentioned earlier about speed of build. They don't call me snail pace Norman for nothing. I worry first and second and third then build. Scared stiff of ruining the build. You, however, might just have cured me of that. Just get on and do what needs to be done. Thank you. Great series.

Very kind words Norman. Thank you for watching.

There are so few model kits of the "Tiffy" compared to it's Tempest successor, which I find irritating but what you have made of the Hasegawa makes me sure there is at least one that will do the job. A really superb build sir and I watched all the parts on the spin. I know where to get inspiration for my attempt. Best regards from England. Happy to subscribe.

Are you adding a little thinner (turpenoid?) to the brush/swab? I have never used oils before, and I'm wanting to start...have been using Tamiya panel liner, and I just don't like it...I have a kit very similar to this, and wanted to try it. Also, did you use an acrylic gloss coat underneath? oh, the kit I have is a Panda Stryker Dragoon...
@hobby-wankenobiАй бұрын
Yes, I am adding turpenoid to the artist oils. Before the wash I apply a gloss coat, mission models product to be exact.
