Kenrith player here … I don’t think it would have made a difference .. he would have gotten alittle bit of damage on me but how the game was playing out it wouldn’t have made a difference .. there’s no way I’m ever trading oppo .. And even if I did trade oppo .. sissay was at 4+ power at this time and was positioned to win before Magda so it wasnt in his best interest to get rid of oppo at that time.. just a little more insight on what was going on at the time

We have some matches that might make you think again...

Our lgs still plays cedh tourneys with dockside, crypt, and lotus. Its much better. Otherwise, they will have to ban mana vault, all the moxes, bowmasters, and then why is it even cedh? Also, people are already talking about starting a new community + cedh format with more power cards allowed and less bans. 💪🏻💯

That’s a great point. I was so tired by this game. I also missed a floating mana and cracked a treasure instead which would’ve given me the game later. And I had the flare in hand much earlier but missed the opportunity to flare the demonic tutor from ob to get dockside before he died

Exactly this. I see this hilarious misconception from so many creators, it really says a lot about how much they understand the format. So many people look at Blue Farm and Rog/Si and just assume it’s the best deck, making no effort to dissect its play patterns and WHY it’s good. With Turn 1 Rhystic Study becoming much, much harder to pull off, turn 1 Kraum nearly impossible, and no Dockside or Crypt to recoup mana after an early Ad Naus or Breach, the deck is going to slow down considerably. The same goes for Rog/Si: Dockside was massive in the Rog/Si list, as was Mana Crypt, because those cards have a snowballing effect alongside other fast Mana. It’s as though players are forgetting that Mana Crypt is banned WHILE complaining about its ban, forgetting just how often that card was played turn 1 into a Signet or Talisman. Mark my words, every single Turbo deck just got shot in the leg, even the best ones, and the slowing down of the format is going to have major rippling consequences for what people consider “playable”. It’s very possible that decks with 4+ mana Commanders can still play in the format, given that most decks won’t be threatening wins until turn 2+.

I was the talion player, and I 100% agree. I was way too focused on the nadu player and the statue messed up my line pretty badly. It was my first time playing against Magda.

Anytime you cast a spell not from your hand poxwalker comes back into play and as long as you have a sac outlet that provides mana Poxwalker net you cards.

Then, if you have forsaken minor and sac outlet that provides mana you can go through other players decks too

It’s my runner up deck… it’s not as fast which I feel might be the meta but Nadu is more resilient but also hated right now

It just depends on where the event is recorded or how it was recorded. This game I'm pretty sure was from our LGS or live stream so starting hands are not as easy to record. I still agree though, starting hands are important to see!

Its definitely something I want to do but like Wandering said at a event, without being intrusive to the game it’s somewhat difficult.
