To add to the discussion about Warcry of Bellona, I don't believe Enigma would lose her action point. The source of the attack is destroyed during the Resolution Step, and Go Again is checked during the Link Step, but during the Link Step Last Known Information is used to check for Go Again etc if the source of the attack is no longer on the combat chain (like for Heralds or Gone in a Flash). So even if the Ward is destroyed Last Known Information would be used to determine if it had Go Again or not.
@grbartel129 күн бұрын
For Warcry destroying attacking auras that have +1 counters, since the auras are destroyed in the resolution step last known information will be used to remember that the attack had go again when it left play so it will retain go again. This is the same reason that heralds going to soul retain go again even though they leave play after damage is dealt

I think you guys are too focused on the instant speed discard effect that you've overlooked the +2 to raydn for Lumina turns, just a single lumina represents +4 damage with warcry. in addition to being able to bait bad blocks out of your opp on off turns through arsenaling it and attacking with raydn for 0 then attack reacting it to +2 for some cheeky pokes.
@shigjetar26 күн бұрын
Agreed, it just replaces Lumina Lance in current lists. It’s a yellow blade flurry that is sometimes relevant against enigma. This goes in your main board all day.

Just about everyone I've seen is overlooking the actual text & overvaluing the discard effect

7:54 na underwhelming gustwave is a cut card I rather have fluster fist and retrace to activate it than a 4 for 0 specially because i rather just run 3 yellow descendant gustwave that when in combo are the same 4 for 0, i would even run the blue descendant instead of underwhelming just for the go again

I don’t agree with the potencial restless ban. That’s the card that gives enigma a fighting chance against aggro. My take would be phantasmaclasm, which helps equalise life totals against decks that don’t run poppers. Who has a two card 9 with unconditional distuption?

I would like to hear your thoughts on Rosetta and it's impact. I personally was very underwhelmed by it, it was an amazing set for uneblade, but Wizards didn't get anything significant and both new wizards are very runeblade-like. It's almost as if they were planning to have it be all runeblade but then Bright Light bombed and they decided to shove some wizards in there and printed a bunch of Zaps because it's easy to not break those.

I think the people are ban happy because lss has traditionally been very inconsistent with their ban philosophy. Especially the book ban has increased expectations surrounding bans. Also I think saying nuu is not as powerful inherently as the other heroes is pretty cope. Sirens call + codex completely gamekeeps many existing decks.

Great episode guys! I really liked Michael's point towards the end, talking about the banlist. The community has to be more willing to rely on the LL system rather than outright banning decks that are strong; but LSS also probably needs to do more with point distribution for top 8 decks as it seems pretty top heavy currently. The ban list should really only be for extreme cases. I also thought the talk about traverse was interesting and would definitely like to hear you guys talk more in depth about where power in equipment should come from. Michael talked about tunic just being the best for most decks and wonder what it would take for tunic to be replaced in each class. It currently seems like heavy blocking chests are the alternative (dyadic and kasaya to an extent) but wonder if this is correct for aggro decks.

this was actually a pretty good episode. Good heroes are good but none of them feel like they cannot be beaten. A point I wanna share is that Aggro Prism is actually REALLY strong against enigma but get prayed by the Brutes which as been low on popularity lately. So I never really had a prospective of seeing mst heroes as the most busted decks, Except the pre ban Zen.
@andrewmoore353Ай бұрын
I did enjoy the mental gymnastics of "Engima is maybe or two percent high, but not enough to ban" combined with "oh my worst matchup is 42%, and there are only three negative matchups. Oh and the good matchups are 95%." I think the fact that good Engima players (and it definitely seems a deck where good matters) have made their bad matchups nearly even is cause for applause. But that's not a sign of a deck's health.
@carlosmtraverzo3121Ай бұрын
Like Michael said I also think LSS should let the format develop more instead of just throwing a banlist every month, LSS already lowered the cealing of power in the game with banning the books, just give other heroes more tools to even the playing field more

I have been saying since Blood on the Bayou 1, a houston super armory which came out a week or two before the first bonds color ban that Traverse was the controversial but necessary ban. Traverse is the most broken card in CC even while AoW and Bonds was around. The card is bonkers. I of course was playing Zen during that meta.

Hamilton, Feng, could you please explain once and for all why we want Spectral Manifestations in a list that doesn't have 10k and doesn't use Reality Refractor, isn't the card just not good and could you elaborate on your idea to run Spears instead? Spears is an anti aggro extension tech against lists that don't have many breakers whereas Manifestations is a card thats 2 for 5 with 2 block red and is super hard to defend so it mostly is that? The cards don't compare in terms of the function they serve in the deck so do you feel like you needed more go again cards in this list, since you said you're not trying to protect your auras with Enigma as much anymore?
@tigriscabrera2046Ай бұрын
hand extender and good value
@m-n-rcastАй бұрын
Spectral Manifestation into Restless Coalescence is a 3 card (4+1) + (5 + 2 ) + (ATLEAST 2). 14 minimum and the extra shields sometimes means you get to float an aura into the next turn as well.
