I saw a video from some years ago where Rik said he had days he can sing ok but not the higher notes and others where he can barely sing. That was years ago and this was only last year( as of this date (08/24). So imagine now that he’s even a few years older on this video. It must have been hard for him to give up the lead vocal here so I am happy that he was willing to pocket his pride and enjoy just playing with these guys. There’s a time your vocal cords are just as old as the rest of your flesh. He can thank God he gave him the great voice he had and that he can still play guitar. I am getting arthritis on my finger joints. He isn’t. Thank the Lord.

He's so gracious and wise to hand the mic over to the other guy for the higher notes, and join in on harmony. He's excited when the guy hits those high notes, too. Says lots about his ego. Most artists would murder the song rather than pass the mic, because of their egos.
