I invite you to see more in horseback riding than sports. I’m sure it made you grow even more than you are aware of 🤗🤗🤗

It's Sport therapy.

For me its to create a connection with my rentpony. Lets say when i got him he was super stubborn, he pulles himself free and is annoying when you brush him. So i wanted to try and become best friends with him. They told me i needed to be strict to him. But everyone did that and it didn't work. So i took the saddle off one day and rided without. He felt free Probably, he enjoyed it. So i talked to him everyday, played with him and rided without saddle, and now i can take him with me without halter, and he enjoys it when i brush him cause thats our play hour and loves my riding style. We have done alot of things that wasn't allowed at first, like riding in the forest, cause he was unpredictable, but now hes super sweet... (uhh to me😅)

It’s a sport even if it is therapy, but they don’t consider it a sport. For them it’s creating a bond with their equine to help them manage things like autism, depression, and anxiety. It’s a sport in the way that it requires balance, core strength, a strong mind and a lot of research to manage a thousand plus pound animal. Edit because I forgot to add stuff lol; Olympic level horse sports is a problem, the horses are often abused or not properly taken care of. A lot of the pure black horses that aren’t sun bleached are because they’re kept in stalls, which aren’t good for horses. Plus, a lot of people aren’t properly informed about things such as equitation, how to manage your horses health (for example, their top line), how to properly fit your tack, and the negative effects of using things that are considered common practice such as spurs and bits.
@MarzMethodАй бұрын
Hi! It’s more than a sport for me. I wish more sports riders would see the benefits of the bond too
@bluedragonflyfaithАй бұрын
@@MarzMethod I totally get it. A lot of people consider it more than just a sport, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it still is considered a sport.
@GlossyBeesАй бұрын
Its a sport no matter if you do it for fun If you go to the gym and have fun youre still working out. Riding a horse requires athleticism and lots of muscles are worked whilst youre riding, paying money to compete doesn’t suddenly transform it into a sport. Having good horsemanship doesnt suddenly stop it from being a sport
@MarzMethodАй бұрын
Sure, get your opinion and I agree, yet for it´s more than a sport.
@GooferKV2 ай бұрын
It doesn’t take an athlete to sit on a horse. It takes an athlete to compete on a horse.
@MarzMethod2 ай бұрын
Absolutely, and it takes a ton of personal development to do it in a way that is loved by the horse too. Thanks for commenting!

It’s definitely a sport and can be used for therapeutic reasons as well. I think horses are very spiritual but It’s unfortunate that people don’t view horse riding as a “sport” it takes a lot to know how to properly ride a horse and to fully understand a creature, that language is completely silent, besides through body language, and pure essence.
@MarzMethod2 ай бұрын
Totally get you! It is much more profound than looking at horses as sports objects. I love that you use the word essence. Love, Christina
@sageyates39642 ай бұрын
@@MarzMethod yes and I totally agree with you as well! The whole horse community as a whole should always work on their horsemanship through better riding and overall understanding of the mental and physical well being of the horses. The Olympics is a great example of how humans can fail these beautiful creatures.

@MarzMethod2 ай бұрын
Para mi es espiritual, y lo amo desde este punto. No creo que trabajar con caballos como deporte es un problema en si, se convierte en problema para el caballos i lo ven como objeto de deporte. Gracias por compartir tu opinión! Abrazo, Christina

For me, its a sport, but it also helps with my minor anxiety. I also ride on an equestrian drill team so, teamwork is also a big thing, and for someone who doesn't have many friends drill team is amazing.

Awesome! Riding is such a great teacher for team work, you always need to be a team with your horse right? I am happy to hear you are controlling anxiety as well. I have a short course to go deeper with that. "Healing with Horses" on Udemy. Love, Christina
