Best part of winning such a insane amount is that you know then that the dealer and place isnt crooked and you could come back!! Very important win or lose, to be gracious or you will never be invited back usually. That guy that flipped out and turned others cards over has broken all sorts of rules and will never play again at this level.

Problem is when a bad guy is betting so much, you have a winning hand, you cant be sure he isnt cheating unless you ARE sure he isnt!!!! Very dangerous as he could sneak a card in and you might still miss it no matter how good you are watching him. dealer could also do it if in with him. The Hair combed forward is before they had decent wigs such as they use in Hollywood now where everyone seems to have perfect hairlines!!

Excuse me for one more comment: as I watch this, I am astonished a Beatty's stupid vacant stare style of acting. He was much better in Dobie Gillis. He is almost unbelievably bad here. He would have killed the Janes Bond franchise in 10 minutes. Bless your soul, Sir Sean.

What a cacaphonous mess this film was! No wonder Donald Sutherland hated being in it! I'm currently watching the Frank Finlay/Denis Potter Casanova. At least the man takes his clothes off - very nice too - which IS most of the point, n'est pas? Poor Fellini intended his film to be art. Potter (admittedly with Vivaldi's help) achieved it.

@@Shoobee63 Yeah i just noticed that on the third watching. Pretty obvious by the director but missed by almost everyone?? haha No matter the skill level and hand you have, even if you didnt see cheating all the way through, you might miss that key card at the end that gives the other guy the winning hand. So theres always risk even when you are the best.

This man..... i was always so conflicted as a child because i LOVED Shere Khan's accent even though he was the "bad guy" (was he really though? all things considered, those people ravaged their land and treated each other terribly before foreigners ever showed up.. and continue to do so today) anyway, I also loved Bagheera but it wasn't exactly the same some how. I will have to check out some more of George Sanders' films. I am only familiar with this one and the Ghost and Mrs. Muir. this one looks interesting too.
