A cousin, Roberto Fierro Villalobos, a colonel with the Mexican Air Force was sent in 1937 as an attaché to the Japanese military. He knew how rapidly the US could mobilize and told them that confronting US hegemony in the Pacific was not a good idea. The reply was "Do not talk that way or you will not receive the Order of the Rising Sun medal usually awarded to attachés. Learning that mainland China would be attacked he went there, met a US journalist, and the two rented horses to get as safely near to the battle as possible. They got to observe the bombing of Shanghai.

It's a shame this movie was not released more widely worldwide. More people needs to be aware of the atrocities committed by the Japanese against the Chinese civilians in China just prior to WWII and during the WWII. Only consolation is there will be Karmic justice. What goes around comes around. Someday same thing will happen to the Japanese probably by the Chinese seeking vengeance. History is full of instances where one nation brutally oppressed at one point in history winds up taking revenge several generations later.

テオドル none of your business where I am from. Not relevant to this discussion. Although it is clear you are not interested in discussing this like a rational human being with some intelligence. And secondly I am not your friend as clearly you have no conscience as reflected by your response. obviously you are Japanese. No surprise there. If you are not angry at any of these atrocities then I say you are not human. I find it incredibly entertaining the moment someone tries to bring to light the numerous atrocities committed by Japanese during WWII, invariably there are these fanatic Japanese who try to derail the whole topic by broadly depicting anyone to tries to discuss these facts as being angry.

I don't need a short little internet geek, with a Tiger picture as your icon, really give me a break, telling me to chill just because you cannot hold an intelligent conversation about this atrocity committed by the Japanese. Enough said. Don't know why you want to know where I am from. Not relevant. Don't want to know you. I already know your kind. Telling people that truth should be exposed does not equate to hatred, paper tiger. Just know, there is no hatred. Just the simple truth.

テオドル Thanks for proving my point, little Japanese guy. Last time I checked we won the war and I might add kicked your ass. Whiny ones are people like you. At least most Germans were contrite and admitted that their guilt for their war crimes. You Japanese, on the other hand, have refused to see the light. All the more reason there should be more movies highlighting war crimes committed by the Japanese. I for one am glad and want to congratulate the Chinese people for making movies like this.
