As a United supporter I was very surprised how differently Everton fans were towards United after this game, compared to the 1980's and 1990's. I didn't see any bother, but the atmosphere was very different. Drinking together and getting along really well in the past, but in 2009 it felt very different. For us older fans ( ie- 40-50) I think it's a shame. We used to always have a common enemy in Liverpool and although we were obvious rivals, it was never nasty between regular fans.
