Nico really fills a role that _no one_ had in the original comics, given that Peter was kind of friendless until college. (And even then, every age-appropriate female character was seemingly a romance interest with little room for actual friendship.) I doubt we're going to see it in the first season, but I really hope they do more with Nico as the story continues. I know she's bi/pan in the comics, but the emphasis on her sapphic inclinations in the early episodes seems to in part be to establish her relationship with Peter as a strictly platonic bestie _(GOOD!),_ so... yeah, I'd love to see her role expand beyond her relationship with Peter. I've loved her since the original Runaways comic run. She keeps touching that little necklace (talisman?) of hers, so they're probably foreshadowing her magic, but I also want to see more interpersonal stuff. (Maybe they'll introduce Karolina?)

Spider-Gwen is an interesting character. It's basically a what if story where she got bitten by the spider. But this depiction became very popular that she got her own series. And thats where things got worst as her character completely changed. She was peter parker's love interest and then, after secret wars 2015, her character drifted away from gwen Stacy's character into a new character entirely. Plus she is with Miles Now. So that is something. Wired to think how she was in love with peter and then moved on to miles, who is Peter's Successor. And somemight say that she is from another universe, but in Spider-verse, the first one, she flirted with peter. And they were the same age by the looks of it, and she was also drawn to look like an adult. And now she is way younger and perfect for miles ? How is that so ?

On par with Ultimate for me right now. Also TASM2 is a mess, but I think they just didn't really do a good job of the suspension of disbelief for the first part, making the audience feel the fun of swinging with Spidey instead of also focusing on his character, because later on in the movie he saves quite a lot of people when fighting Electro. Idk how that difference happened, but it's worth pointing out.

I enjoyed Spencer's run, i think he wrote a very good Peter Parker and Spider-Man, but failed to characterize some of his supporting cast. I agree the post Kidnred issues are meh, and the Kindres reveal was stupid, although the idea of Kindred was fun. I gotta say i didn't hate the Kraven story, sure it was rough and the ending changed nothing since we still have a Kraven, but it had a cool idea and used one of Spidey's villains that isn't used all that often. The run has it's problems but it returned Spidey to the basics, no longer a millionaire or a body-swapped supervillain (nothing against Superior, i love that story, but i missed good ol' Spidet). Even with it's issues it's better than whatever the fuck that shit that Zeb Wells wrote was.

Honestly I think Strange is going to come back into the show and take Nico under his wing putting her on the path to becoming Sister Grim. I only want this to establish a mentor mentee relationship between the two so that Nico can be in Doctor Strange 3 and tie it into the Runaways to hopefully bring it back.

Honestly, I sure hope it's on par with the 90s and especially The Spectacular Spider-Man. But right now, with only 5 episodes, it's going great so far. We need the remaining 5 episodes + Seasons 2 & 3 (both greenlit & confirmed by Marvel Studios Animation) to further judge its overall quality & placement.

Before watching the video, I want to say this because I don't like the title/thumbnail of this video: we just can't compare 5 episodes with a show which has 26 episodes. Plus, Spectacular SM is on just another level. YFNSM doing pretty great so far, can't wait to see the later episodes and seasons.

Although I think the animation is a bit bland,I’m really enjoying the show so far,especially the dynamic and relations between the characters like Peter and Norman,which is gonna hit hard,especially when we get to see him turn evil and eventually turn into the Goblin

In my opinion, Niko is there to create conflict with Peters school life with Peters Spoderlife. You see she only hangs out with Peter and her only friends being Peter so she cares for him deeply. Niko is the consequences of being Spider-Man. It makes Peter feel bad as he is handling crime, while she is alone at a party. That’s what I think anyway

No it’s absolute slop lol. The Lonnie stuff is great like it’s not even really ideal Tombstone at all but he’s the most well developed character with the most interesting plot and I’m actually looking forward to seeing how they do Ock since the design and voice is spot on but the show is just so disinterested in making Peter as interesting as Lonnie that I can’t even in good faith call it a good Spider-Man show at all. They have a couple more episodes to turn it around but I doubt it at this point

I thought the new suits were gonna be used idk to like make new identities or sumthing to deal w the accords, but just cameo suits i guess(classic mcu shenanigans), norman feels odd like the whole scene of him gushing about the improvements he could make to peters suit is offputting, harry feels just like every other character just a good person nice guy who is nice.......(i hope there is more to him and that he shows his true colors cuz he just seems boring for now), the show as a whole is very slowly paced, pearl is still just nice girl character, peter ditches nico in the 2nd ep and she isnt even that mad at him, the ff suit seems to be the new suit of choice until he gets the classic garb, witch sure is a choice, peters character still hasnt changed from the mcuified version of him, spider man is better, even tho i dont find his jokes funny at least he is confident while delivering them and not saying "u get it"??? Every time......
