About the icky incest part, i believe that degeneration began with original sin. Until then the world did not decay. It was "good". Because they were so close to the beginning our cells, dna, etc was not as corrupted as it is now, and that's how they were safe from deformities. Even later on the Hebrews were to only marry from their family or tribe, however they married more distantly. My theory is that this was necessary because, they were closer to creation than we are, but farther than Lamech and those guys, so degeneration had begun but wasn't as far along. In modern times we are well into degeneration. We see it in ourselves ( i don't know many 800 year olds now days), we see it in the earth as we see more and more earthquakes, volcanic activity, bigger more damaging storms, etc. Even in mid bible days there's never any mention of natural disasters, other than Sodom & Gamorah. Oh and that little rainstorm that kept Noah busy for a bit 😉 What do you think? Am i on point or way off track?

I always get asked the questions about the 2 trees. People think God set us up to fail. It's nice to have a better understanding of that.

Realisation struck in what you said

This apathy is mainly based on the viewpoint of a person who does not know or understand where or what you are talking about. Kinda like when Mary Antoinette was told that her subjects had no bread, she in her lack of knowledge of what was happening said "then give them cake". This generation is so far removed from your language and understanding of reality that there is very little that makes any sense of what you are saying. Since this is becoming more of a reality each and every day, where should you start dialogue.

The bible has gone through so many translations that it can't be trusted unless you know how to read the original scriptures in hebrew and also understand the context behind it

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help.

The only thing irrational about christianity is people who think it's not legitimate. Look up "babylon bee Jesus hoax" for context
@desperadodeluxe229211 ай бұрын
That's not true. Every being knows the difference of right and wrong its inherent and put in us by God. You don't actually have to know the Bible to be close to god.

Slavery is cool, racism is pushed, genocide is okay, women are to serve men, and if a man rapes a woman, he can make up for it by marrying her… Jesus is in the Old Testament? Then this is the “love” that I get out of it. And if they got it wrong, why didn’t he ever say, “oh, by the way, the Torah is written by man, and they got a few things wrong.” But, it never says this. Anybody who claims a sense of morality from the Bible has a lot to explain.

Well perhaps it might have to do with the fact that regular jobs tend to be underpaid and the workers tend to be treated like garbage. Have you ever considered that? Not to mention, how ridiculous some jobs are.

Pathetic. Sure. Encourage mediocrity. That's what God wants. That's why God gave us the gifts we have. 😑

Oh how terrible and tragic your persecutions. The words of others torment and plague you. Mean while, 6,000 children beg for food at our southern border, 1.5 million Palestinians are on the brink of starvation. But you, dear brethren claim persecution by the words of others.

Yes, implies to sin. Clean the body (yourself) of sin. And then your household. As where you live, if sin is there, you will always be tempted. You must clean it all... & sadly, the 10%rule was alive back then... nothing new under the sun.
