Would love to know about how much this building cost.
@ElginServiceCenter3 ай бұрын
@Tully-Travel thanks for the question. Most if not all of our 100' buildings start around $12.00 per square foot for the building package. While this is not your finished cost, it does include all of the red iron, lumber and covering for the entire building.

Great building! The owners put great thought into the design and decor. This will certainly be an inspiration for my forthcoming party barn build - and I’ll be in touch!!

Wonderful building love the storefront glass and view of overhead door framing. Can't believe they put all those posts inside their clear span structure! Yikes
@ElginServiceCenter3 ай бұрын
@gregorysampson8759 the storefront glass does look nice and goes well with the colors of the building. Commercial glass also gives a great deal more design freedom than the standard sliding window. I hear you on the posts but that is a big loft. Often times, those posts can either disappear in a wall or become a part of the building design, as was the case with the BA Carts building.

Why not large strong timber logs like the old bank barns i think theyd last longer than metal beams and flimsy 2x4
@ElginServiceCenter3 ай бұрын
@henryofskalitz2228- There are people that simply like the way barns were built in the 1800’s. I personally like the old buildings and appreciate how they were built, often without metal fasteners. The craftmanship that went into the mortise and tenon joints with the large timbers is a lost art today. Incidently, there are no 2x4’s in the K Building.

This is what I would like to have done in Eastern Wisconsin…what would a close estimation be on something like this. ?
@ElginServiceCenter3 ай бұрын
Most K Building material only packages start around $10-$12 per square foot for 20 and 30# snow loads. Higher snow loads and the engineered loft would be additional.

I am looking to have this exact barn built to replace our old bank barn. We need the bank barn due to space, but just like this building we need to drive machinery in the upper section to load and store hay.

That thing is a work of art. I’d love to have something like that. Even if it was just the regular barn with out the bottom level.

Thank you! We have been manufacturing the K Building in Ohio since 1972. Today's K Building is pretty much the same building that we started with but they have increased in size quite a bit over the years. When you're ready for a building please check us out, the price may be more affordable than you think.

I bet that building was expensive
@ElginServiceCenter5 ай бұрын
The floor in the building did change the pricing but most K Building packages start around $12.00 per square foot.
@jamesmcclanahan40915 ай бұрын
@@ElginServiceCenter is 12 dollars a sq ft put up
@ElginServiceCenter5 ай бұрын
The $12.00 per square foot is the building package and does not include labor to erect or the foundation.

Are there any precautions if one of the hydraulic hoses breaks or bursts?
@ElginServiceCenter5 ай бұрын
Very good question Ali. In the case of a hydraulic hose break there are flow restrictors in hydraulic cylinder that will allow the door to close slowly. Another question we often hear is what happens if there is a power outage? In that case a separate portable power unit can be used or the door can be hooked directly up to the hydraulic system on a tractor to open or close the hydraulic door. Thanks for the question. So sorry for the delayed response.

hate when everyone abbreviates everything..... some of us don't build pole barns for a living or live the pole barn life we just use the things ok? So getting to my point , what is a gurt? or gert? or girt? your trying to sell a product well speak English for those of us that don't speak pole barn .
@ElginServiceCenter5 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response Ken, we didn't see your question. You bring up a great question. The term girt refers to the sidewall lumber in the case of the K Building. The term purlin refers to the lumber used in the roof.
@scottrayhons253710 ай бұрын
What was used for lumber in the roof and sidewalls? Whats the spacing on red iron uprights?
@ElginServiceCenter5 ай бұрын
So sorry for the delayed response Scott. We didn't see your question. The lumber is #1 Southern Yellow Pine. The sidewall girts are 2x6x16 and the roof purlin is a 2x8x18 for the 30# ground snow load. The standard 20# ground snow load would call for a 2x6x16 roof purlin. The steel mainframes are set at a 15' OC spacing.
