11 years later, time flies This game was so addictive, my gosh, and it became so competitive at some point. The ebay car was real but eventually everybody had one. The game died when some hacks that worked for multiplayer leaked. Codemasters had already wrapped up the development and did not patch it. Losers would come online with just a little bit of hack, enough to look suspicious but not be sure, and then nobody could be trusted anymore.

Thank you for telling me. I've never played this game, but I like racing without power-ups because I like some realism in games. Like racing without power-ups where it feels realistic and more fun, in my opinion. Especially the AI being on a hard difficulty without power-ups where it's like an actual realistic competition😎

one of the cars upgrades from completing races is a +1 health boost. i have every vehicle upgraded lol.

@@elkaimiy.6870 No, the upgrades are for multiplayer only, you cant upgrade cars in singleplayer.

it wasnt marketed very well (i remember finding footage of the game by sheer chance, while looking through stuff for Portal 1 that led me to Split/Second and its E3 gameplay) so, much like ONRUSH, even though everyone who knows about the game LOVES the game, not many people heard about it :(
