Good discussion. my 2 cents: the MTA will always waste other peoples money, only to say we need more!

Hydrogen cost 10x more than petrol and will always cost more than electricity. Simply because it's only 30% efficient at best compared to 90%+ for batteries electric vehicles. Hydrogen is a huge waste of energy. Not to mention that it's highly inflammable, it makes metal brittle so forget about transporting it by pipeline, it take a lot of space to store it, and the fuel cell has a very limited durability. It's a waste of public funds. The only peoples that thinks hydrogen is great, are the lobbyist that are trying to turn a profit by switching from petrol to hydrogen.

Hydrogen is energy storage mechanism. Not energy source. It competes with Lithium Batteries, Diesel, Petrol. Its uses can help electrify the trucking industry, the tanker industry, the airline industry. The great thing about hydrogen is that its mobile, energy dense. It will not be transmitted via pipelines. Its probably going to be produced on site at hub facilities for trucking/airports. Hydrogen is not viable for lightweight EVs because lithium batteries are good enough storage. Hydrogen is also not good for mobile phones anf laptops for the same reason. Lithium batteries are great power storage when the energy needed is small. But when the energy needed is massive, you need hydrogen.

I live in Miami and have taken the Tri-Rail to downtown Miami and have to say it’s great! But I don’t know about them receiving any money, our people in charge can’t be trusted to complete anything let alone do anything on budget or time. It’s sad 😢

I drive trains specifically the s70 shown in the video rail is not new theyre not comfortable and those trains suck, i appreciate the propaganda but lets not go that angle. Those trains love to freak out and die in the most in opportune places in the enlighnment the older trains were better in almosf every way and stop sooner too
