I use to live in mauldin/Simpsonville... I loved to go to FI because the DMV was nuch less crowded. Back in the 80s I and some friends took a carriage ride to see the town's Christmas decorations.. the horse drawn carriages were borrowed from Charleston. The horse's names were Jim & Tammy (Baker). 😏

I have a few questions. How strong are they in comparison to concrete homes in hurricanes ? Could they have welded angle stability footers instead of the all thread cross stabilizers ?

My wife and I are building a 1200 SQ ft. In north Arkansas. Welding it all together. Using pre Fab trusses. All from Wheeler Metal , Springfield MO. The property, slab , metal etc. Cash as we go. The hell with the banks , insurance company's, rediculas codes. It's time to buckle up and get your hands dirty yull sleep better at night away from the system.

If high quality bass fishing is a high priority for a retiree, what would be the best areas and lakes for relocation? I currently live near fantastic fishing in Central Texas.

Lake Keowee in Oconee county would be my recommendation as mentioned in the video. You could also consider lake Hartwell in Anderson county, which is located in the neighboring county to Keowee. Most folks prefer Keowee overall however for living, recreation and fishing. I would love to help with any relocation needs as far as real estate goes. Just email or call!

You forgot to mention car Taxes. Most states Do not have this very Expensive yearly burden. Also sales tax is higher than the base tax rate depending on the area you live in Due to the extra penny taxes some as high as 9% car taxes run me $300 a year more compared to my home state which was $0 Dollars. If you live in a tourist area your going to pay More.

Yep, but if you’re thinking long term with one, just like if buying a house, I’m going to use it for passive income, I.E. renting it or doing an Airbnb. Therefore, not really looking at a resell value.

@jenilenrd I'm from Anderson, born and raised, the downtown district is bordered by all 4 inner city neighborhoods, East, West, South, and Northside. Howerever the residential parts of all are at least 3 blocks over!!! The trouble is actually in the hoods and not the downtown district!! Krazy a lot of us dont even frequent downtown, but we don't give it a chance either!! Downtown is safe!! Business owners are scared but customers are not!! YES our biggest complaints is we close TOO EARLY!! Better of going to Greenville, but I Still ove my City!!👍

Thank you for this! We were initially going to build in Manchester, KY, but we’re selling that 52 acres and are now looking at building in the FL panhandle once we decide where to buy land. We never would have considered an issue with getting a traditional loan! If any Barndominium builders are in FL, please respond to this msg! We have a plan ready for bid.

I lived in Travelers Rest for all of my life. Now it's over run with yankees who have completely destroyed the way of life here. My taxes went from 300 a year to 1800 to pay for the bike lanes and "upgrades" that I'll never uses. New police dept. New fire dept. 750000 townhouses that locals can't afford.

What are you talking about?! Prices are already at all times high. It doesnt make sense to buy at these prices. Income to median home cost does not make sense and cant stay sustainable. With the prices of homes double, insurance and taxes are at a record high as well. We are already in bubble bigger than 08 and its going to crash hard. Real estate agents are also hard to trust because you guys live on commission and need to sell to make a living. Using a an agent is a corrupt system.that said greenville is absolutely gorgeous but now is not the time to buy.

I live in West Texas. Barndos are pretty popular but I think with the heat that we have it is utterly stupid that everyone has dark roofs. I loved the picture of the blue barndo with the silver roof. It looks great and will reflect a ton of the heat.

I live in a Barndominium in the Midwest I love it but in reality it’s a cheap house to build at the time but not now but on the flipside of that it higher maintenance cost for the upkeep of the barndominium I know I had to do it

@@ladyinred3583 I live in show me state I had to replace about 150 rubber gasket screws for my roof on my barndominium but it happened last year 8 years live in it but I think it was the heat through the multiple summer that disintegrate rubber gasket they only last between 12 to 15 years then you have to check on them because if you don’t then they will start leaking after that
