Ahhh I've been doing it wrong, I was cutting from the short/inner side 😣 I feel like cutting them from the long side ends up taking the nice length away from the lashes thats why I guess I didn't think that was the right side to cut but I'll try it!

Needed this because the lashes I got literally touch my eyebrows lol
