Good morning. I'm sure you can "decoupage" the tissue paper to a candle. But would the paper not catch fire when the candle burns? Maybe not with the right glue? I'm sorry that I don't have a solid answer for your question. Enjoy your week!

Good morning. I got the paper bead rollers from Etsy, just type in: paper bead roller, and some will come up. Then you just pick the one you think would work best. I had to write the size on the wood as it was not very clear. But I'm sure you can find it on Amazon as well. Have a great day!!

Thanks for your fantastic tutorial. Very easy to follow. For anyone in Australia who might be interested: I bought a pack of 100 sheets of tissue paper in Big W a few months ago for tracing dress patterns. I think it would also be great to use for printing. The brand name is Jot&Dot and the sheets are 50 x 75 cm so they'll last a long time!

This tutorial is wonderfully easy! Thank you! I have one question- what is the best paper weight for envelopes for cards? Thank you!
@geesjebaron8 ай бұрын
Hi, I mostly use regular copy paper, which is usually 20lb, but if you want a bit more weight to it I recommend a 24lb paper, it gives it a bit more body and feels a bit more professional. If you want to go all out, you could use a 28lb paper. You'd have to shop around for it, as I don't know if a Staples kind of store carries that. But then there is the internet...🙂🙂 Hope this helps and have a great day!!

when you iron the paper afterwards to set the colours, do you cover the printing with anything first or just put your iron straight onto the paper? thankyou
@geesjebaron8 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I just found this comment yesterday! You can use a this cloth between the paper and the iron to protect the iron from potential dye, but I have not found it necessary, so either way would work. Hop this answers your question. Have a great day!

Thank you sonmuch for being generous to let us know about the website for free downloads, nobody does that I watched over 30+ videos. Also thank you for telling how to enlarge the picture or make it smaller ones to print . Also i am planning to buy a printer but I didn't want to invest in lazer printer if you can confirm does ironing the image that I print in an inkject printer would stop the bleeding of color or I need to use couple of layers of hair spray as most people suggest. Awaiting for your response so that I can decide to buy the right printer for my Art work . Thank you
@geesjebaron9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. As for buying a printer, if I had the funds, I would invest in a laser printer, but oh well, I don't. I find that letting the print rest for a few hours and then ironing on the highest setting reduces the bleeding enough for me to adhere it to a background. I personally don't like the smell of hairspray and never tried it. But if that works also, and you are okay with that, then that certainly is another solution. By using hairspray one covers the print with a thin "protective" layer, vs ironing one basically "sets" the ink. I do think when applying the ironed image to another paper by using a lot of glue and brushing more than necessary, the ink might smear a bit. but once a coat of glue as been applied and dried, it is run proof. I hope you find this useful, have a great day!!

I tried laminating them to make them last longer. I skipped the sewing process and just used beacon or clear gorilla glue to adhere the 📎 inside it keeps moving. Please help me I don’t know what to do to make the paperclips stay in place. 🧐😕
@geesjebaron9 ай бұрын
So the paperclip still moves even when you used the gorilla glue? The reason I used the sewing machine was so that the paperclip would stay in place, I just "tacked" it at the bottom to prevent it from coming up during use. I hope this helps a bit? Have a great day!!

Needs to soak for 10 min.
@geesjebaron10 ай бұрын
I don't soak the papers for 10 minutes, they get very fragile and might tear. Depending on the strength of the dyebath, as in how much paint vs water, I usually get the paper wet and remove it after maximin of 30 seconds and then set to dry. Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Thank you for stopping by! I looked at the video again and I would change the way I glue the three or four strips together that form the hinge for the cards. I can not wait to try this method of adhering the tissue paper! I’ve tried double sided tape, attaching to printer paper or card stock and no matter how “perfect” I think I have it taped on- I always get the ink blobs. This will be a game changer for me! Thank you for sharing! 🤗
@geesjebaron11 ай бұрын
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment, I hope with this method you don't have ink "blobs" anymore. Do watch for the corners, that they are adhered nicely, otherwise the tissue will curl up while being dragged into the printer, I had that happen once. Happy creating!!

I love that method and I especially love the cover design. Do you have a video on how you made it?
@geesjebaron Жыл бұрын
Hello, I don't have a video on how to create the cover, if you like, I can make one. But it is quite simple: I braided strips of cardstock to create the background of squares, I glued that to a piece of chipboard (the stuff that is on the back of drawing paper and such) then I added the leaf design using a thick paste through a stencil and painted everything black. Then I added highlights with metallic paints in a few colours like copper, teal and gold. If I didn't like the outcome, I could just paint it black and try again. I'm sure I tested it out on a piece of scrap paper first 🙂 I hope this helps, have a great day!!
