Someone should ask Gwynne Shotwell about how Elon's online behavior, (specifically: spreading racism, bigotry, right wing conspiracy theories and misinformation on Twitter) is affecting employees of SpaceX and the company's efforts to recruit and retain top talent in the industry. Also if this same behavior will start to affect SpaceX's ability to win and keep government contracts. Has she talked to him about his behavior? Is she worried about it? Does she know how her employees feel about it? How do other executives at the company feel about it? Shareholders? Then we could ask the others on the panel if they see these failings as opportunity for their own companies to step up and offer employment and leadership in the industry free of such disgusting and alarming behavior from owners/executives.

Quoting Bill Maher Elon is complicated… his personal views are controversial, his merits and goals in most of his companies are good and better for humanity. Imagine a world without Tesla, spacex, openai(he was a founder), neuralink… he has pushed the boundaries and inspired tons of people (even competitors)
@cutchins9 ай бұрын
@@drat717 You ignored everything I said just to try and compliment the dude. You are exactly the problem. His behavior has gotten worse because of people like you that want to ignore reality in favor of flowery language and idealized motivations. His behavior has gotten markedly worse over the years because of the lack of accountability. He is unbelievably arrogant because no one around him pushes back on his worst impulses. Stop being a celebrity worshipper and learn to speak truth to power, my friend. I'm happy he was involved with the founding of some influential companies. That does not give him the right to do as he pleases, however.

@@cutchins ok let me explain better, would you prefer to work for Patagonia as woke as it gets, but your work will have no gran impact in human society or work for space x, advancing human society. You can work for blue origin, which is another great company trying to advance humanity but their achievements as of today are not that big
@cutchins9 ай бұрын
@@drat717 Again. You're not addressing my points. You are skimming over the comment and deciding "okay this is critical of Musk, let me defend him". Elon's behavior has a negative effect on what SpaceX will be able to do. People have continued to ignore it and it has gotten worse because of your exact mindset. Rather than addressing it early on and helping to minimize or stop it, it has gotten completely out of control. If you love SpaceX and the good things SpaceX does, you should be extremely concerned. The more you bury your head in the sand, the worse it will get until SpaceX starts losing government contracts, losing the best engineering talent and has trouble recruiting the best talent. You cannot ignore toxic behavior of the CEO just because the company is successful. It will come back to bite the company in the ass, and it will be worse the longer his behavior is tolerated. Also, you don't even know what "Woke" means, so please stop using the word just because you see Musk using it as a bad thing.

yup, here in aus, all the farm machinery drivers have been poached by mining ind as their elite employees for transport, we need farm machinery connectivity like yasterday!! this will also include the massive companies supplying harvesting combines on their circuits,,,so big farms, a hundred or more machines needing connectivity EACH, there are alot of them in Aus, plus the transport businesses who have been screaming for drivers over the past 3 years to get produce to bulk transport hubs...difficult to wrap your head around how big a deal and gamechanger this will be in the world ag business

@@KZbin_username.The halo orbit always has line of sight with Earth, but for a little bit of its orbit it loses line of sight with the lunar south pole. ESA are planning some kind of mini lunar satellite constellation as well. Also Starlink terminals use 36-72 watts DC, which is a lot for smaller landers and rovers
