what is the advantage/disadvantage over a prusik?
@integritytreecare4794 Жыл бұрын
I prefer the Knut on my lanyard , neat advice would be to try it out and see what you think. There’s just too many variables involved to say clearly if there’s an advantage or disadvantage ,rope diameter, eye and eye diameter, climbers, weight, climbing style.

One-handed adjustment. Stronger friction. Can be adjusted while bearing weight. Did you watch the 37 second video?
@ossianbutler8033 Жыл бұрын
I love the video, simple and easy to follow which is just what you want when starting using SRT more. What length of eye to eye do you find works best for your michoacan?

How the wrench works is not clearly shown.
@integritytreecare47942 жыл бұрын
I’m sure there’s some in depth real print videos or info out there.It basically puts a bend in the rope so it takes some of the friction away from the hitch and dissipates it into the rope wrench . I was thinking it takes like 40 percent of the friction away from the hitch . Without the wrench in place the hitch would not operate very well with a 100 percent of the friction on a stationary rope system.

*push the primer 6 times and let it rip I like the saw for the price👀 **allabout.wiki/Echo-CS** used maybe 10 tanks of fuel, 6 loads of hard wood and am very pleased with it. some will say its under powered for a 20" but I like it better then a 18". I have a 18" also which is great also just like the extra 2" inches. the saw is very light also which is nice. Huskavarna owns Echo so I am sure it will last. its not a sthl but still love it! I have seen some bad reviews on the saw but do not agree with them. some people told me not to waste my money but have since changed there mind. just have some common sense and cut some wood!*

What is the diameter and length of your hitch cord? Are you climbing on 1/2" rope? I may buy a Rope Wrench soon to use on 1'2 Yale XTC Fire rope. I don't know which hitch cord to get. Thanks for posting this video.

Thanks for a very superior short and informative video. Five stars from me i Norway *****. But one thing I wonder why you did is the two butterfly knots. Why not only one? Best wishes from a very interested amateur. Paul
@integritytreecare47943 жыл бұрын
The 2nd alpine butterfly has a pinto pulley , it aids in retrieval if you drop through a couple redirects. . Basically acts as a fair lead so on retrieval there’s not so much rope on rope.

If that vest isn’t fall rated, nothing else in your system would be since you didn’t attach to your harness. Do you switch as soon as you get up?
