This H thing in cars is complete nonsense. Even in trucks. From producing energy to generating H2 to transporting, storing under different levels of pressure until applied to the wheels one LOOSES about 2/3 of the energy. That is about 65% LOSS. BEV in total have losses way BELOW 20%.

Sorry to hear you think that but we believe we need a multi-strand approach to e-mobility. Electric solutions are alive and well and will continue to grow. But Hydrogen can also be a key pillar for the future of the automotive industry and a natural evolution of our mission to showcase the possibilities of new technologies. What we believe is that, as a championship, Extreme H can take hydrogen to the next level and be that platform for energy companies to test and develop. These are extreme locations we are racing in and, if we can do it successfully there, hydrogen solutions can be developed and utilised anywhere.

@@ExtremeELive The "multi faceted approach" is a story I hear literally since the 1990s. That's when I personally experienced the first tests of a H2 car, namely the Mercedes NECAR. They disappeared. BMW since has had 3 generations of H2 cars - they disappeared. Toyota is in the - who nows how many - iteration of H2 cars - and, is it mass produced meanwhile? No. After cars there were trucks as the next hope for H2 propulsion. Are major players producing H2 trucks in Europe or North America? No! Instead they are mass producing Battery Electric trucks available for purchase to all commercial buyers. So I stand by my opinion that H2 for vehicles is a waste of money! Don't get me wrong - Extreme E is sensational, I watched every race of every season.

Hydrogen is easier to store than electricity.

@vojtechnovacek7776 A battery is a much easier storage option than a highly pressurized tank full of sub-zero temperature hydrogen. Not to mention electricity can be "transported" by the existing grid. Hydrogen stations need to be filled similarly to a gas station.
