The Fixx are always talking about thoughtful things, introspection, questioning reality, etc. Deeper and deeper stuff. That's why they didn't really catch on with the mainstream. For me, desert island material.

It's not he who knew, but she. Jeanette Obstoy wrote the lyrics of Hines early 80's albums. Dive into these lyrics; they're really good. Obstoj must have been a very special and imaginative person. Unfortunately she passed away 9 years ago.

To this day, I do not understand why The Fixx is not selling out huge arenas like other bands from the 80s such as Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, the Cure, and Tears for Fears. This group is every bit as good and one can argue even better. I can listen to Cy and the boys every effing day and not be bored. Great lyrics, great energy, great style, and great musicianship. I simply love this band to death and all of them are great to their fans -- although Jaime can be either standoffish or just shy. Rock on boys,. Btw, get well Rupert. Hope you recover from your accident soon. I'm looking forward to seeing them again soon. I think I've seen The Fixx more than any other band - about a dozen times.

The Fixx is a very good band. Saw them open for The Moody Blues in 1986. Excellent! 👍
