Thank you for such a nicely done video, it's very inspiring and informative. I'm in my late 50's and dealing with some unwanted belly fat. I'm new to 5:2 and have finally put together a 500 calorie/day plan that allows me to get the most 'bang for my buck' and keep me feeling good throughout the day and night. Doing this is shrinking my appetite a little and I'm eating less on the other days as well. All the best to you Stephanie and to anyone reading this comment.

I lost 15lbs over 3 months with the 5:2 diet. However, after 3 months. , I couldn’t maintain it For some reason, on the 500 calorie days, I started getting so ravenous that I couldn’t do it anymore. I also didn’t know what to eat on the 500 calorie days. I really wish I could have stuck with this
@Stephanie-Bonnet11 ай бұрын
Maybe you can try again? You did it 3 months, which is great. Or you could try a different fasting rythm, maybe the 16h one where you stop eating each evening at 6 pm and only have a meal from 10 am the next day? But really the key is to think about it as a lifestyle, not as a diet. So what is the lifestyle that would work well for you and your personality?

I’m going to do this on Wednesdays and Fridays which are the traditional fasting days in my religion. Usually I eat plant-based with shellfish on those days, but I’m going to try eating only 500 calories in OMAD. Fasting days are all about prayer and focusing on God, so eating less will help me do that. And of course it’s good for my body! ☦️

Oh I’m so glad I did motivate you Charlie. Interesting comment about the music. It’s the done thing in KZbin but I can certainly try without or at a much lower volume. Also did you know you can slow down the speed of the video? It could help as I know that I speak fast and that, with ly accent, it can make it difficult to understand.

I haven’t stopped. I am still doing it. It’s now been 15 months. I don’t see it as a diet but as a lifestyle now. My weight is not going down anymore as my body now reached its natural healthy weight. But doing intermittent fasting allows me to enjoy food the days I don’t fast without guilt. And the days I fast are self care days so I win every day! Works for me in any case. Good luck with it!
