I upgraded to the 47mm sapphire from Epix Gen 2. The thinner bezels, larger screen, are aesthetically pleasing as is the UI. Navigating by map seems smoother and more responsive when hiking. It’s less bulky and more comfortable to wear especially in bed. The watch face selections are more modern. In general it’s a different watch to use and look at, so I’m pleased with the performance and how good it looks on my wrist. My wife gets the Epix for hiking so not too much scrutiny 🧐 on the price 😂. Actually the larger screen when running is worth a lot to me. The price isn’t a factor. I’m not licking my wounds over it. It’s worth every penny.

Most people forget to mention that the Fenix 8 has MUCH better clarity over the 7X Pro Solar Sapphire I have. It is VERY noticeable, and that alone makes me want to upgrade lol.

Excellent information and thank you for sharing It really helps! I ordered both variants of the Garmin fēnix 8 - 47 mm, Solar, AMOLED, Sapphire. The all black one which I think I'm going to prefer isn't coming till the end of the month at least on Amazon it's backwards directly from Garmin. I also ordered the Garmin QuickFit 22 Heathered Black Nylon and Ultrafit Nylon Armband - flexibel. So we shall see, Garmin's own wristbands seem to be really good quality. 🤞😎

I'm not sure it's possible directly on the Apple watch, but if you have an external HRM with built in memory like the Polar Verity Sense, you can wear it during a workout and download the Data using the Polar app, then you can connect your Polar account with Apple health

Had FR965 & HRM was shite. Had to use chest strap to get any meaningful accuracy. f8 HRM really accurate with the elevate 5 sensor over the elevate 4 on FR965

There are the bugs in the Fenix8.. Screen brightness in low light conditions makes my Felix 8 51 Amoled completely UNUSABLE!!! Also the watch lags even in the watch face menu.. it’s a horrible experience, never had these issues with my Fenix7X or my EPIXPRO 51!!

That's a great idea! I will make a video about it Anyway if you'll answer from the watch the sound will come from its speaker, unless your BT headphones are paired with the watch Anyway there's a button to switch between the phone/watch

If you answer a call on your watch and you are already connected Bluetooth headphones, it will come through the headphones first. It also displays the option for all avalible options to transfer the voice too.

For me a smartwatch was the ability to answer to calls, use voice assistant and an ability to view notification with ease, also to use contactless payments. I think the Fenix 8 ticks all of those boxes Maybe for you it's a bit different and that's ok :)

Garmin Connect online lets you use a computer to build your runs which I really like instead of using your watch which seems a bit tedious. Does Apple have something similar?

קניתי גרמין 255 מיוזיק כבר בהפעלה הראשונית הבנתי שלא נוח לי שזה בלי טאצ' במגעים. השאלה אם מתרגלים לכפתורים ויש לזה יתרונות או שכדאי ללכת על דגם אחר שהוא כן עם מסך מגע, אם כן על מה היתה ממליץ? התקציב 1400 עושה בעיקר ריצה אופנים וקרוספיט עדיין יכול להחליף .אשמח לעזרה תודה רבה
