Down through the ages men have questioned, 'What is life?' From ink spilt on textbook pages, professors offer their insights. Philosophers and physicist will argue for their views. While the critics and the cynics seek to debunk and disprove. How much of this is wasted time for we each do as we choose. And from our preconceived conclusions, derive what we call truth. Tell me, can a rich man fit through heaven's gates? Can a cynic learn to walk in faith? Can old bones be brought back to life? Can cold hearts beat again? And if we never reach beyond the womb, how will we grasp a life Devine? Born again? Brought to life? So when our bones turn back to dust and our souls return to You. Will we awaken unto life or shall we finally pay the devil his due. Though choirs sing, to rapturous applause, o'er the glory of your face. If we fail to recognize your hands, will we ever understand your ways? In time, perhaps, we'll finally catch these answers that we chase? Or is it life which waits on each of us to define it's proper place? Some lyrics I wrote during an awakening, many years ago. Your poem reminded me of them. Its actually most of a song. I hadn't played it in years but I was playing it shortly before watching your video.

I love words. Language is an expression of our souls and the seeds of our manifestations. We speak our own existence into being through the color of our thoughts as expressed through our speach. No other medium is so efficient as the power of our tongues. Whether we use them to harm or to heal is our choice. Whatever we choose to say will surely affect our lives in ways we can't imagine. Thank you for the kindness and wisdom of your words.

The worst part of betrayal is that they actually think you don't know because it was done behind your back. We'd all prefer that those who harbor ill feelings toward us were more deliberately authentic about how they feel but that would mean that they took the time to self-reflect. Then they could confront the shadows within themselves before choosing to do us harm. The unhealed don't take the time to be honest with themselves... If they actually did they would be healthy and would probably not do such things. It really is that simple. All of religion and every law of God and man is summed up in the principle of treating others as we want them to treat us. I may be a bit of a troglodyte but if we deliberately encouraged the practices of kindness and understanding with the same vigor with which we practice manipulation and deception, we'd bring about heaven on earth in less than a decade. I don't know how we can even start the process of healing without first being accountable for our actions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. ❤

The finite world of amusement and distraction is an escape from the false reality of toil, death and taxes but no matter what our favorite poison is, it is all still poison to the human spirit and the souls in which this spirit abides. So much of this grand illusion is but a trick within our minds that we play upon ourselves as we frit away our lives. I learned the importance of the inner life by watching my father. He was up each day before the sun in prayer and meditation. He was humble, genuine, kind and hard working. He never complained or cursed and he smiled quite often. I remember his hands. How strong they were. His fingers thick from years of labor. Even shortly before he passed over, he was having trouble walking, so I picked him up to carry him to bed. I was surprised at how strong his hands still were as he clung to my neck and shoulders. He was still jovial and wity, as said with a honest grin, "I guess its a good thing I lost so much weight!" His life is a testimony to the benefits of the life within. His spirit never wavered and he feared not his own death. He actually welcomed it. We could all learn much from sitting in mediation. Those are beautiful lyrics. Being a lifelong poet/song writer, I've found that the melodies can change over time but the crux of the song is within it's lyrics. I also tend to get 'lost' within the ether and follow high vibrational thoughts to dimensions that don't exist (yet) within our physical world. I suppose that is the purpose of our dreams and visions? To imagine what will be. If we can imagine it within us, it will be, when the collective consciousness agrees. "In the kingdom of heaven everyone is poor but not a soul goes hungry and there's no cause for war. For all are one and one is all, beyond love's open door. So as it was in the beginning, so it stands forevermore."- Steve Cook I wrote that while at work over a decade ago. It is the first lines of a song that resonates with your video. It's long been known that we should walk by faith but sometimes we even soar into the ether. I must admit that I prefer the view from the clouds and perhaps I stay there too long at times. It is a solemn place and will remain the realm of philosophers, mystics and poets until we can all see it within ourselves. Those who have truly shaped the world are there in Spirit. They were all misunderstood and maligned for their visions. It wasn't their time to see the manifestation they have helped to co-create. How much senseless bloodshed will we see before humanity learns that which we already know? I hear you, 'Wise One' and I understand that truth is a mountain and faith is a climb. Most of us don't know that we have wings and must be shown the view through climbing to the top of the mountain. I think this is the remnants of ages old (religious) programming that teaches us that we must somehow build or buy a stairway to heaven. Whatever the case it is within our collective consciousness and therefore is collective reality. If you want to change the paradigm, you have to be the change or a catalyst for the change you wish to see... and you have to prove it in the material realm. So much for the view from a higher perspective if the collective consciousness hasn't even grasp the simple concepts that allow us to peacefully coexist, right?... 🙄 Back to the earth it must be. For until we can find enough love within ourselves to share it with others and create a shift in our thinking that we are abundant beings living in an abundant world spiraling through an abundant galaxy within an abundant Universe that is within us all and we lack for nothing, we will continue to struggle with the heights of objective truth. Great poem and I love the background music. I also like that you get to the point without a bunch of nonsense. I haven't doubted my intuition in about two years now. It hasn't led me to anything that resembles happily ever after but that isn't what I went looking for. I went looking for honesty and authenticity within my personal relationships. I found honesty and authenticity within myself. The rest of my life has been thrown in a blender. I can't unsee what I have seen nor can I ignore the truth. What is a seeker of the objective truth to do in a world of subjective illusions?... Manifest destiny? Call the shadows into account? Be the bearer of a light that makes everyone you know 'uncomfortable'? Become a martyr for your own authenticity? Be the scapegoat who bears the weight of your karmic friends and family members inability to be accountable for their own lives? Go back to sleep? If not for my ability to see the humor in all of the nonsense, I suppose I could accept the old paradigm and go along to get along... but its too late for that. I know that I am where I am meant to be, even without the slightest inclination as to why. I began without an agenda but to follow my intuition and I thought I knew where I was going at several points along the way. I was wrong. I have no idea where I'm going but I know that I will not waver. The voice of Spirit is the herald of greatness. Only the bold and the humble clearly hear it. Trust the Universe. Hello Steve I'm early in my awakening but confused a lot of the time as I'm a Christian and aren't sure what I'm allowed to practice as I'm currently delving into frequency and vibration also I'm looking into the book of wisdom which isn't supposed to be very Christian in some people's opinions ...i know that I need to head down the rabbit hole in all directions and find my truth....nice video by the way😊.
