I only say that because of all the switzer support. To be an oklahoma fan doesn't mean you should show disrespect to a great coach . So I say god bless bear bryant as well.

okay... Maybe Simon Seville and Rascal Flatts shouldn't be singing together. it sounds kinda... Distorted, if you ask me. XD but the song is good and very sad, and it always makes me cry.

no you're wrong.bama is 1-2-1 against oklahoma. ala 17 okla. 0-1963 orange bowl ala 24-okla-24 in the 1970 astro-blue bonnet game.and the two losses to ok in 2001 and 2002.when we had weak teams with mike shula.

Oh, and as for Switzer: if Bear Bryant ever said he was afraid to play Switzer's OK team (which I seriously doubt and eagerly await your source) it probably only would've been because he didn't want to get shot by Barry's load of convicts. You wanna talk about people you wouldn't allow in your home and yet OK athletes were gang-raping women, pulling out uzis, shooting each other, and running cocaine rings.

0-5 against Oklahoma? That's impossible, they haven't even played 5 times. Also, name a white athlete worth a shit to come from the SEC? That's easy as hell and I could do it without even looking outside Alabama. You seem to forget that the MVP of Super Bowls I-III were ALL Alabama quarterbacks. John Hannah was probably the best offensive lineman ever. Lee Roy Jordan was easily one of the greatest linebackers of all time, and I'd go on further if I wasn't out of space.

@edelweissnpa Switzer's a boy, not a man. Coach Byant was not a racist. He's the reason Alabama started playing black players. Do not get Coach Bryant mixed up with the likes of George Wallace.

@edelweissnpa 0-5? I do believe you need to go back and check the history on the series. They have only played 4 times. Alabama beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl 17-0 while Coach Bryant was still the Coach at Alabama. I've never heard Coach Bryant ever admit to being afraid to play Oklahoma. Alabama has nothing to fear from the Sooners.

As a Hog fan I always had heard that he was about to except the head coaching job in Fayetteville but then Pearl Harbor happened..... My dad knew all about it we even looked up the old hotel where he and his wife had stayed the night at on college st in downtown Fayetteville where he was at about to become the next Razorback coach. Man, Arkansas was pretty good at that time too and can only imagine what could have been. But JFB did a great job for us too and we all know that the Bear was God.
