It was Matt Berry and his band doing a cover of the UK show from the 70's called "Sorry". kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKPXlJVjedKoq6Msi=N3VZ9jlWgeW4QRGd

I can tell you that simon cowel does not see every single person in that crowd. They are looked at by producers first then whittled down. So whenever you see someone with absolutely no talent auditioning you know that they are there purely to be laughed at.

The reason why we put up with "bad service" is because most of us know what it's like to serve the kind of smug, self-righteous tossers who make and present these kinds of consumer programmes. Also, working in the service/hospitality industry involves long hours, shit pay and constant criticism from higher ups and clientele, so a bit of cynicism is a healthy reaction that I respect far more than a corporately-mandated fake smile and friendly patter.

I've recently caught a bit of Last of the Summer Wine as my dad has started watching it in his old age. I think it gives him some comfort to see something that takes him back to his younger days, but also features men his own age who are still enjoying their lives. I can only hope there's something like that for me when I'm an old man myself.

I fucking hated Deal or No Deal. A convoluted game of Find the Lady that they endlessly drag out and insist on pretending has some sort of strategy involved.

It's unfortunate that the tiresome, formulaic nonsense that makes TV news so unbearably tedious to watch was given so much airtime in this Screenwipe. Showing and telling me how ghastly something is doesn't make it any more pleasurable to watch. The clips were given too much prominence - I'd have preferred more critical analysis. In 4 years this video's had almost 11,000 Views, but has attracted only 96 Likes [date: 24th November 2024]. Hmmm... Does that count as news?

"Charlie Brooker, challenging the 5 signs of boredom." * I still love his stuff, and I'm just a GIRL. *This is a lie. There are only 4½ signs of boredom. Here's the science part:⚗️🔬🌡️. There. See? Happy now? Good. Now, ***k off and wash your hands, please.

I love the 77th street argument. Having spent 10 entire DAYS in NYC, I can assure my UK friends you have absolutely NO idea which way is which, 77th street and your landmark is on 78th street good luck walking 25 minutes to 76th street only to find out you've walked in the opposite direction! Also only joking................. USA has no landmarks.

the only point at which I've had any respect for piers morgan was sitting unflinching in the face of alex jones' aggressive yelling; as rehearsed and calculated as it clearly was, it still can't be pleasant to be that close to someone who's made violent rhetoric their entire deal
