Nice!! I was up blaka moor yesterday on my Marin alpine e1. You should definitely take olly down sheep skulls as the trail fairy’s have been doing some magic down there. I know a good few secret trails round there if you want a guide..

I’ve got the Shimano e2. Alpine trails go fuggin hard. I’d be pretty fussy on line choices on certain trails in the past on my acoustic trail bike. The e2 i just point at obstacles and laugh. Marin rims sadly not up to task.

Have they gave you blisters yet? Back of my mate's achillies heal is messed up big time with the top of the heal of the shoe the way it slightly curves in to neoprene instead of being straight cutting into foot bad! Its put me off them this is what I remember from wearing adidas trainers years ago so I've really lost confidence in dropping buck 50 on them this winter! I need something warm though im in Scotland my feet are ice blocks just now!

I raced for Saracen about this time, had a red downhill bike from them. I can confirm It was truly awful. It was like a xc front end and they'd bolted on 4/5 inch travel rear end. The resulting head angle could put you over the bars on the flat. Total junk. Think the company got sold not long after and the folks that came later did a much better job.

Mine got stolen when I was a lad. They obviously wanted it..

i had 4 and did 7 ft drops to flat off garages in my street , i had a havok excess mantra and team mad . << that was junk with terrible geometry the rest was brilliant , ive had 3k kona builds and a £2k saracen build with super T's a fox shock 24'' atom lab wheels hope 4pots xtr gears...the 5'' swing arm frames become about 10'' with a 3'' stroke rear shock 😂 .

I had a saracen D-tox millennium edition with a massive mud sucker mud guard.....as bad as it was it is still my first love will allways have a place in my heart 😂

I had a Saracen Xray as a kid. I thought it looked so cool. I recently looked it up to reminisce and I don't think I have ever seen an uglier bike! 😂
