I used to catch rays of the end with whole squid heads, some of em bent forged 8/0 steel hooks straight!! Great fun on lighter game gear. And never know when a mully or large snapper might eat it. 😉😉

Thank you mate! Yeah I use a small anchor with 1.5m of chain on the end attached to some marine rope. I find a nice sand hole and anchor up there and if there is nothing at that spot I’ll keep doing that until I find them!

My father had a holiday home at Hardwick bay, that's just across from where you are fishing. We have seen big white pointers in that bay, the other boys are nuts hanging their legs over the side of their yaks. I remember a few years ago a guy windsurfing in the bay was taken by a 20 foot white, Dad went out to help find him but all they found was some wetsuit.

Thank you mate! Very simple set up, just tie an FG know from your braid to leader and give yourself about 4 m of leader. Then tie an 8/0 circle on the end and that’s it! I used 40lb braid and 80lb leader

Well done Jordan! I caught a couple of kingfish off the little jetty in Kingscote on a squid rod. 😂 Well the fight lasted around 3minutes each time. Those fish are rockets.Zac must be spewing he didn’t land one but I’m sure he won’t stop til he does👍
