That may also happen but think of this with humans also. Many people say that monkeys love their humans because they cling to them or show signs of love but, just like human children they will do this even when abused. And owning a monkey as a pet IS abuse to them. It is proven by primatologists They need a troop and forest for the proper nutrition, stimulation, grooming, learning to behave like a monkey etc. primates in captivity show signs of depression whether it’s in their health or behavior. They do not thrive in captivity like they do in the forest. Even if their life is occasionally cut shorter- that is part nature and is better for them. There are a lot of things that we humans find unfortunate about nature but it is always better for a wild animal to remain wild. I’m not saying we can’t temporarily step in to save an animal for a short time, but it should always be responsibly returned to nature via an educated professional afterwards. ❤
