very easy to understand explanations, much appreciated, and very excited to see how this technology unfolds. ❤

You and me, both. I'm stoked to see the Explorer 3, since it may come as a 2.5 line with a lower AR. I've flown a few of the 2.5 line EN Bs, and they're fun.

Thank you for taking the time to make this! Content like this won't get millions of views, but it's WAY more informative and important to every individual viewer, if that makes sense... Thanks again!

Thanks! 2 more interviews are coming, too, I just have to wait for the article to publish before I can release one of them, and I'm working on the edit of the other. As for this video, I wrote in issue 233 of XC Mag (September '22) about it.

@@launching_para Since I'm from Munich, I don't have XC Mag anymore, always took long to arrive and struggled to find time to read magazines. BUT if they have a digital edition, I'll surely check your articles out! In the German version of XC mag (called "Thermik"), they also had a series written by Bruce Goldsmith that was really interesting. Love Paragliding technology! One of my first thoughts when I saw the wave leading edge: I wonder if that could be made to synergise with Skywalk's anti-stall-flap-things. Maybe you could lower the stall speed even further and keep the flow over the top from separating for even longer with the added flow/pressure through the ports in the sail...

@@mcbrite Both Gin's and Skywalk's designs are meant to impart momentum in the flow, which is drag, but if used well can make the whole system more efficient, not unlike how a car's turbo uses energy to make energy, but if displacement is lowered, can actually produce an efficient machine. XC Mag has a digital subscription.

the vortex produced by delta shaped wings is well known to produce incredibly good stall behavior. The vortex basically artificially create a super thick airfoil at high AOA. This is the same effect created by adding many small "delta" shapes on the leading edge, like in the boomerang 12. This implementation is a very very clever (geniusly simple) idea.
