In my case, I had deleted the imported clips (trying to re-import the videos before watching this video), so the 'relink missing' option didn’t appear. I solved it by: Going back to the 'Project Browser', Opening the 'Show Settings' menu in the project, Selecting 'Restore Items from Backup', Choosing the 'Deleted' tab. I then selected the deleted clips, clicked 'Restore', and was finally able to use the 'Relink Missing' option on the clips. Hope this helps anyone facing the same issue!

In the later versions, you open the video tools by clicking on the Video Analysis chevron in the lower left corner, below Apply in the VFX tab.

Well done. You're a good instructor. As a beginner, I found this overwhelming. I had to keep pausing and replaying. I must return to this video as I get more acquainted with the product.

YOU ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVER, I THOUGHT I'D RUINED EVERYTHING. Edit: And thanks for making it short and to the point. I really don't need a 10 minute video for a 2 minute explanation when I'm having a mini heart attack. Or...ever, really.

Thank you for this video! It's clear and concise, and I found it easy to take notes with! I'm excited to try making videos again, but as a complete beginner, I wasn't really sure where to start. This video was a huge help!

This video is only underestimated because it’s company video. And company videos are usually very shallow or very shit. Maybe if he had posted this video from a channel of his own it would have had much more reach.

This is the new version 14. It's supposed to be much improved. Let's test this this new version out before saying "it's not intuitive". He says right at the beginning that it has a new, fixed interface.

Hey LWKS, can you do a video on Lightworks reading (voice over) text from the screen while the words are being displayed, please? I just subscribed to your channel!

Hey there! You can easily record voiceovers directly onto your timeline. Check out this tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4qtq2t4a6yseNk

This seems a lot easier to perform than in Resolve for example but to really master the effect and deliver true Rostrum Camera quality, variable speed and 'ease-in/ease-out' options need to be implemented. The 'Ken Burns effect' is done to death in digital editing and like slow motion and drone footage, it stands the chance of becoming 'ho-hum'. If we are going to employ the effect, then subtlety is the key! Perhaps variable splines could be incorporated into the keyframe graphs?

While I admit I am a free user the tutorials are frustrating for me [windows] in the the LW interface is different....ie I have no Zoom function.. etc
@LWKSVIDEO7 ай бұрын
Hey there! This was done on Windows using the latest version. Just wanted to let you know that the Zoom effect is in the newer versions of Lightworks. I'd recommend updating via the website. However, if you prefer using an older version, no worries! You can still achieve the same results by using the Transform effect or the 3D DVE depending on your version, same principles with the key frames. Hope that helps!
