Wow. Times have certainly changed. They viewed 50 (only 4 years older than I am) as old back then. 50 is now in one's prime. Some 50 year old people (my best friend) have small children (she has a toddler).

I love the emotion you give to these people of history. I am confused though, what does CharlesII of France have to do with any of this? He lived like 500 years before this time period. Also you stated that she looked on her children (sons and daughters) she only had one daughter who died a decade earlier, just sems there may be a bit of a mishmash of people in this video and maybe some crossed research.

Terrible narrative and so full of mistakes. Calling Louis XIV Charles II. Unbearable to listen to as a history nerd.
@rlw464619 күн бұрын
Your story telling is perfectly fine. It makes easy listening and facilitates capturing of bits of history in a relaxed way - respecting listeners intelligence and ability to be able to differentiate between story telling styles and facts. The way the story is told doesn’t require watching of accompanying images to ‘keep up’ - if they cause frustration to some people as some comments seem to suggest.

They married in 1620 when Elizabeth was 22 years old, not "just 20 years old", and her husband Oliver was 1 year younger.
@FredericDebroe19 күн бұрын
Elizabeth bore Cromwell 9 children, not 5. At her death in 1665 however, she was survived by five of her nine children, hence your error.

Sorry! Your idealism is against the ways taught by Asian of how it should be. The Dao Chan was an adopted daughter of an scheming official. The adopted father of Dao Chan drugged Lu Bu with Alcohol and promised the marriage the same night, but delivered Dao Chan into Dong Zhou’s bed the next night as his concubine. Without Dong Zhou’s knowledge of Lu Bu about promised wife with the official, he declared his sovereignty over his concubine Dao Chan. As you already known, Dong Zhou was a wise man that appreciated talent in military and battle prowess. Dong Zhou provided the fastest beautiful white horse, a strong weapon, a set of armor, a title adopted son that under one but above all. Dong Zhou would give Lu Bu with every he had including military power.

Terribly sickly sweet script accompanied by tinkering harp! Details of history sounds like a Bronte novel instead of a dramatically violent part of England's history. Elizabeth is truly lost in this musical rendition.
@harrietlyall199120 күн бұрын
These AI illustrations are grossly inaccurate. You’d do better to use original artwork of that era, by Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Vermeer and other great painters who recorded what the people of the 17th century actually looked like.
@margueritehuggett44020 күн бұрын
Your script is too much like a tv soap opera: And your illustrations are often incorrect: The British flag often called the 'Union Jack' was only the flag of Great Britain after the Union with Scotland in 1707.

Too many things are oversimplified to where this is fantasy not historical, the couple in question would have come from different traditions, customs etc and it is glossed over as if it would not have been a massive thing to find compromise on. Not least being language as well. I was married to someone from a very different culture, which required us to find amenable compromises on a lot of things but also in the end led to divorce.

Wu meniang you mean Wu zetian who even killed her own children as the rumours say
@aguinayajolly6565Ай бұрын
Yes, the only female emperor in Chinese history. Killed her first born child not known if it's boy or girl just to framed the empress at that time and become the empress. Imprisoned her daughters who think they can overshadow her. Killed her sons who dare to overthrow her when she crowned herself emperor. I'm impressed after everything she had done she is well loved and respected by people. I think what happened within the palace stayed in the palace even a lot of rumors leaked out the palace as long as people live a peaceful life the strife inside the palace and court didn't matter
@JeanBohanie-tj6dq28 күн бұрын
They only rumours, is not the true.
@aguinayajolly656528 күн бұрын
@JeanBohanie-tj6dq not rumors they were historically documented. Why do you think the next emperor after her destroyed mostly about her? As a woman who wanted to climb to power, she did a lot of gruesome things to finally got her position. In the history written about her, she killed her first child to blame the empress and became the empress later she imprisoned her son who should have succeeded her emperor husband saying he is incompetent to rule then manipulate her next in line son who became emperor then killed him saying he doesn't deserve to rule before crowning herself the first female emperor and the only female emperor in Chinese history that was forgotten for many centuries until her tomb was discovered
