It makes easy listening and facilitates capturing of bits of history in a relaxed way - respecting listeners intelligence and ability to be able to differentiate between story telling styles and facts. The way the story is told doesn’t require watching of accompanying images to ‘keep up’ - if they cause frustration to some people as some comments seem to suggest.

Too many things are oversimplified to where this is fantasy not historical, the couple in question would have come from different traditions, customs etc and it is glossed over as if it would not have been a massive thing to find compromise on. Not least being language as well. I was married to someone from a very different culture, which required us to find amenable compromises on a lot of things but also in the end led to divorce.
