Nah bro im playing on nightmare and you can avoid him if you break "line of sight" before the hiss ends. I think he was lucky enough to be crouching, if he was Just standing there like dumb, the alien probably skip the hiss part and eat him. But yes even on nightmare you can avoid alien if he hiss and you break the direct line of sight. But if you are standing and he doesnt hiss but makes other sound you are pretty dead.

@@walteralvarez1408i think hard difficulty is the best way to play the game. nightmare is too hard with the lack of items and normal and below that are way too easy

@@gjr-s TBF, on nightmare difficulty, the Xenomorph doesn't stay in one room for too long like in lower difficulty settings...

Yes on nightmare alien wanders a Lot more and jumps to the vents more than other difficulties (at least in my opinion) but in nightmare you should really avoid use of lockers as hiding spots, it will get you like 90%of times, Ripley makes an "im scared" moan (I dont blame her I would probably shit and shoot myself if I was there). But that moan is enough to the alien to open the locker and eat you. So on nightmare lockers = lunchboxes. Tip:if alien makes that hiss you should break line of sight even when he is blind af (Its more like a bat and detects you by the sound or air or something like that). So use boxes, furniture and even door manual locks to prevent alien to "see you". Im really making a Lot of progress that way and I havent used a single ítem to distratc the alien (yes im saving all that I can for the nest).
