Is it common (parthenocarpic)? Some say it's a caprifig (Harvey).
@r11hno4 күн бұрын
Its a delicious fig
@C3Voyage4 күн бұрын
@@r11hno A "common" fig does not need the fig wasp for pollination. In the USA, only California (parts) have that wasp so the rest of the USA requires a "common" type fig. Same with most of the world too. That's why I asked. I'd like to have it, but if it won't set fruit, well it won't set fruit.

Can you cut the bird of paradise plant down like you can a banana tree? I been looking for a video on this and can not find 1.
@r11hnoАй бұрын
I doubt it and why would you - they don't grow that tall - well not in France anyway
@j.olacio5298Ай бұрын
@r11hno the white ones grow over 30 feet here. I got several I had to transport with a trailer. After I cut some. I found out no you can not cut them like a banana tree. They get hard in the center. Unlike a banana tree that will send up a new stock up the center of the tree.
@r11hnoАй бұрын
in France 4 or 5 feet max - wow can understand you asking if they can be cut at 30 feet

Thank you for the video! Your’s is the first one I am watching… from Canada! 🇨🇦 Am planning to plant a few Blood Grass plants where my Boxwoods have died (killed off by pest). We have a “Red” front door (our house is Drk Sage Green) + I thought the Red would play off everything nicely.
