Plain and simple, this is just talk. To many things for DD to figure out at this point. Plus NANCY who ordered everything off the menu at McDonald's isnt leaving her apt to walk outside and meet a drone. She wont even do it for a human thats delivering her food. She wants it dropped off right outside her door. 10th floor all the way in the back of the building. DONT knock or ring the door bell cash tip under the doormat. Be quit the babys sleeping and the dogs a psycho. Robots and then we need to worry alit. Drones aint doing what we do🤷‍♂️

They should have a better deactivation system. I have a list of tweeks I will make a call to DoorDash so they can file some suggested changes. They have made changes I have suggested before. I'll just add this to the list. A big one on the list, "if an food item is missing" the store should be able to send a notification to the customer for a replacement. So the Dasher doesn't waste time doing it when they get to the restaurant.

I worked in customer service for my whole life. I am a server full time and I DoorDash on the side for supplemental income. We all know the pain of getting no tips no matter how hard we try and go above and beyond. It’s the reality of the industry.

Nope you’re wrong . I’ll get a w2 job before I do that garbage. I have over 11,000 deliveries just on DoorDash. I could count on one hand how many times I’ve got a cash tip. You sir , just looking for views. Pathetic

This may result in someone who was already going to tip you, to tip you more - but, if someone wasn’t going to tip you in the first place, you going above and beyond won’t make a difference. As far as they are concerned, you get paid just fine from DD and they don’t have to tip.

Stop working for doordash, any advice about increasing your tips is superstition. There's no way to convince someone who doesn't care about your time, to care about your time. These platforms pay these jackasses to talk about nonsense because their business model fails when they stop ripping you off.

Yeah, what really caught my attention was the fact that the customer said she was not going to tip him. Which I guess means that she didn’t put a tip on the order to begin with, so it was a low pay order and those are just asking for trouble. I’m honestly not surprised that a low pay order is the one that ended up getting him deactivated if this scenario is actually what caused it. I’m also very surprised that it doesn’t sound like he made any attempt at contacting the customer about the unavailable item. Dollar General had to have some sort of laundry detergent that could’ve been used as substitution. He said he didn’t feel like just guessing at what the customer would want so he didn’t get anything at all. If I was the customer I would not feel like he deserved a big tip. That’s for sure. And then she was a bitch to him about it, which is unnecessary, but I can’t blame her for being pissed off. So he chooses to post her info online…😂 I guess the fact that he did two dumb things on one order made me wonder if he’s been screwing up all kinds of stuff and probably deserved to be deactivated many times over at this point. and it could very likely have nothing to do with this person whatsoever.

Base pay should be $5 flat regardless if its a stack or not. Then they wouldn't even need to do promos to get ppl to go out dashing if they would just pay decent and stop being clowns

Honestly guys work for even dominoes as a driver. Get paid hourly with tips. The pay is overall so bad these days on these apps. Sure every now and then youll get a banger order, but overall its trash more times than not. Even jimmy johns pays like 14/hr plus mileage and tips where im around. These apps are basically like gambling hoping to get some good orders while usually just getting crap

I needed to vent bc I was beyond frustrated with DoorDash. I work full time and drive for Doordash on the side as my income isn't quite enough for bills, rent, supporting another person etc. I went to login a month ago and saw I was deactivated for no reason. Tried to email customer support for further details, no response. Unbelievable! I was only reactivated because ‘Vinzetech’ helped. I finally found out it was an error on their part.

I got a push notification saying I was deactivated and now I'm trying to log-in to the app, when I type my password it just spins and the password box goes blank. It doesn't say my account is deactivated and I haven't gotten an e-mail saying I was deactivated. I was already guessing this is the end of the road for me. It truly hurts me that they're willing to just deactivate drivers. I used ‘Vinzetech’ services to get back for anyone curious.

Pedro, is the type of man who does not take accountability or responsibility on the actions he does or say and contradicts himself. He brought all of this on his self on deactivation and that’s just the facts. the main problem is he doesn’t listen and learn things the hard way. The point is you have to be smart like every breath you take, every move you make on how you perceive yourself when handling a situation regarding a customer or merchant to always have poof, details, evidence to always back up your claim for nothing to ever be used or said against you. I know DD is a shady company to work for but I tell people all the time, your word is your bound which holds more weight and power than anything in this world if you stand behind it for people to know you and know what you stand for to fight against anything even if it’s a misunderstanding or error you could easily correct with your words alone. This message is for future gig workers: nobody stays on top forever! you’re either smart enough to be lowkey and quiet doing this type of work that benefits in the longrun or you end up falling off the wagon to not drive straight in this business to last long eventually.

I have a 2008 Mercedes C300 that was given to me by my grandma when I was 16. It had about 90,000 miles on it when I first got it. 4 years later, it has 131,000 miles on it and about 970 deliveries under it's belt. My car repairs are pretty expensive because it is a Mercedes and I have to use premium gas. The good thing is that the car has been paid for, so there is no payment, and with a car that is from 2008 the value is probably pretty low anyways. I am in college and do Uber Eats and Doordash, and I will say it is a great job for college students, but I would not make it your primary job.

Chicago like this? I did a test. Goal was to see how many orders per hour on avg during a moderate busy time. Also what is the average mileage/pay ratio instead of just pulling a number out if hat like everyone else uses $1/mile so Imma just use that NO. Maybe that's not what it should be in my .market. finally how many orders are over $2/mile during a sample period what is the average miles and average estimated delivery time for all the orders. So this is what I found. Turned on ubereats and took snapshots of every order and took zero of the orders. It took 2.5 hours to get 50 offers so on average 1 order every three mins. The overall average miles/pay ratio was $1.27/mile (so setting my threshold to only taking orders of $1/mile was in fact too low) Out of the 50 orders sampled 15 (30%) had a mileage/pay ratio of $1/mile or less 5 orders (10%) were $2/mile or more. Average distance per order 5 miles average estimated time per order 30 minutes to complete. Based upon these averages if three out of ten orders are under a $1/mile the 4th order should be $1,27/mile or more. Since the order rate is one order comming in every three minutes on average it should take maybe 9 minutes and 3 declined ordesr to get an average pay order. One out of ten orders is over $2/mile for me in my market so declining 9 orders (27 minutes) should get me to the high paying order.on average.

So when I see a order for $14.08 going 21.1 miles est time of 1 hour 3 minutes. First it's an under average miles/pay trip under $1/mile Then it's gonna take 63 minutes so I'll be out of the offer que for the next 21 orders. Based on averages I'll likely miss out on two $2/mile or higher trips and the opportunity to take several of the 15 above avg mile/pay ratio ordees of $1,27/mile or more. Also I've been burned before on these high milage trips. The cust orders from a chain restaurant that is 2 miles from them and the order is sent to a store an hour away 21 miles. They customer realized the screw up and canceled the order and you get nothing. OR the food arrives cold and the tip gets pulled so that's a decline. This test was just one random snapshot but at least it's a starting point for my market.your mileage may very (pun intendedl

i started watching doordashers by a sggested vid of one called meatymomma..and from there on i started getting all these dashers channels suggested. I like them all except this pedr one. He comes off as a knowitall and holier than thou type. I skipped on watching him mosttly, except his baiting recent tittle...and immediately you can see the type of person he is. He mentions the customers names AGAIN and again followed by cursing. Terrible terrible human being. And now he will just milk his current situation with doordash for the weeks to come because he really has nothing good to bring to this platform. Hes just a bitter little man who probably doesn't even like to wrk. Ugh...adios pedro

They wanted him gone. That's just my opinion. I agree with you. This wasn't that major and the woman was harassing him. He should have reported her. He had good standing with DD. There was a DD mole on his channel. Pedro was more concerned about being a Top Dasher and it attracted scum bag customers who don't tip. End of story. I don't think he should have been deactivated though. That was extreme.

Who cares?? Honestly Door dash did him a favor because they are a sinking ship; they show no care for the dashers at all; if they did the base pay would be more than 2.00 a delivery. I mean seriously, I get that tips is high percentage of the income from DD but, DD should pay more base pay; so would not have to rely on big tippers. That is just my thoughts. Have a good day. :)
