I don’t know if you already have one of these but I 100% recommended buying it. It’s called a buttkiker, it vibrates the seat so that you can feel the engine and stuff. You should get it

I’ve been looking into them! Seems like it would be a great addition.

You’re inspiring. Glad you’re chasing your dream, we can all learn something from you. I know I am, I’m looking to get into sim. I have G29 wheel and pedals for PS5 - mods / gaming PC next.

Simple, yet powerfull 'Stop making excuses and try to do the thing you've always wanted to do'. Your's is to be a rally driver, mine is a motorsport engineer. Ive reached the point of becoming an assistant professor in mechanical engineering, specialized in vehicle dynamics, and particularly suspensions, but always told me excuses that I cant do that. Now I think I can. Reach me out if I can help you with your car.

This video is so emotional. Watching his first run in his new sim after stopping at the beginning overloaded with how realistic it felt to him was incredible to watch. This inspires me to really race.

Can you give us the measurements that you took from your real car? It would help a lot with my build
@RyansRoadToRally3 күн бұрын
I definitely will. I just need to get a proper seat in the car (which just arrived) so we can line everything up properly. Once that's done, we'll start taking detailed measurements and share them on the channel.

When the sim costs more than his actual rally car 😂. In all seriousness, this is a bit intimidating for a new sim racer. I don’t know if I’d ever be ready to commit to a high end rig. In terms of cost and commitment…

First of all I think that you should try Iracing. Sweet rig by the way I just got my first Aluminum rig. Also you should get buttkickers, maybe just start with one or you could go full blown 4 corners kit. But they add so much immersion ands way cheaper than motion.

Never watched you ryan, meaning i dont know your experience wether you have raced in real life. However I started in sim racing for circuit racing and i am now karting and winning club races with the best of the best who win nationals. I believe you should not only do sim racing but real life racing for it builds your race craft more than most games. ( I say most because i believe iracing is quite good for race craft since you race against actual people.) edit: when i say race i mean in club.

I think the main concern about starting with RWD is probably gaining the maximum comfort with a car that is constantly sliding on a surface with low mu.

People are happy with lower spec thrustmaster setups UNTIL they try a highend setup like this and realise the fidelity and feeling every tiny bit of feedback through a 23nm base. You will continue to love the Alpha Ultimate base, I know I love my two.

You practiced properly on the G29 if you could just automatically adjust like this. Im 100% convinced that if you truly practice the correct way on a lower end wheel, youll be so much more "at home" when you get a really high end wheel. I got my g29 a year ago, and then the t300 3 months after. All i ever did was trying to learn proper racing technique. In doing so, the t300 felt like a super high end wheel, when i first upgraded. Then i kept practicing on that, until i came to the point where i felt that i was outperforming my wheel. So two days ago, my Simagic Alpha arrived, and everything just felt RIGHT, despite everyone saying it takes a while to adjust. The added bonus - i went from enjoying the concept of improving, to just straight up enjoying driving a car around a track. I was really missing that.

I have a few video's on my channel if you wish to see a 3dof motion rig in action on DR 2.0 and others, the problem with motion is once you've tried it, if you have a rig and it doesn't have motion, it feels lifeless and vague, motion does change the game, coupled with VR and wind simulator's etc you do feel you're in the matrix lol....
@IS300driver267 күн бұрын
Motion is fun and cool, but haptic feed back via transducers (bass shakers) is better. I'd recommend sim racing studio with some haptic shakers to really give you the immersion you are looking for.

As a person who did AsettoCorsa and iRacing etc. and then went to a real track event in a couple of cars ... I agree with this video, driving real cars is easier in many ways, especially the "bum" feeling, you can slide by feel, you feel the grip at the front, the back, in general you get 3x more information about what is going on in a real car. The rest is pretty 1 to 1 if you have half decent setup at home. I was running higher tier fanatec in VR at that point, but that was years ago so things definitely changed.

Im using VR which i cant recomment enough i have haptic feedback in my seat direct drive wheel and as you said its just such an incredible experience. Im driving GT7 no Rallye though. But i managed allready to drive against the best in the world 🔥 its kinda crazy... subscribe if you want to follow along as well ❤️
