What zig zag length do you use for securing edges
@jyothivinod54294 ай бұрын
Hi. I was going to make this today. In the video you say, Everything has to be interfaced, but in the pdf I downloaded, you mention that only the main fabric has to be fused with interface. Please suggest the best way.
@jyothivinod54294 ай бұрын
I interfaced all the fabric. I used these reduced 8"*12" and 8"*6" because my Kindle measures 6.5" x4.5". It was a tight fit. I feel my reduced measurement works only if 1/4 " seam allowance is used. If going with 1/2 " seam allowance, the original measurements will probably be a good fit. Thanks for this useful but easy pattern.🙂

Thank you for explaining and showing how to overcast with a zig zag stitch. Another video just told us to zig zag the raw edges, but didn’t elaborate at all. I’m very new, so I need to be taught every fine detail. Which you seem to be very good at. So thank you!

Well, my first try. I took off an inch in each direction because I have a few I bought that are a little too loose. Mine turned out 8" tall by 9" wide! Could not get it over my head.... Guess I'll add an inch each way and see how that ends up.
@Whipstitch11 ай бұрын
I think you need that extra margin to get them over the head! Mine fit close to the neck without being snug, and when I layer it over the neckline of a sweater, they're just right. Hope that's the case for you on the second try! :)

I was going to pay for the 2024 subscription for my loved one but very lame that they don't have an audio book so you can listen while quilting I figured that would be the way that it worked but no you have to quilt as well as read and no one can do both at the same time - when you could do both at the same time - way more enjoyable way to do it - from an outsiders perspective anyway. Because of this I am not willing to pay the very high subscription fee, very very over priced for what it is in reality it's an email that you have to print then a link to a chapter that you have to print to read or eventually find time to pull up the blog and read it. My loved one loves to listen to books while quilting but there is no added advantage with this subscription - very disappointing

Hi, Chris! I'm so sorry you got bad information--we DO offer an audio version of the story most years for our members, and we will again in 2024! If that's a deal-breaker for you, then rest assured that members will be able to listen to the chapters in addition to reading them (including both a printable and an e-reader option). If you have other questions, be sure to ask us! We're happy to help and can always give the most accurate information! :)

I don't sew on a regular basis so I'm really rusty, but I don't understand turning the right side out then sewing the ends together and turning it right side out again.... to me, that would put the wrong side out before stitching up the four inch section. What am I missing? Thank you.
