I had to remove the left side cover and left air intake in order to be able to reach the oil filter. Otherwise forget it. Also, my oil drain plug was torqued on so tight by the shop that it nearly stripped coming off. I do not hear other manufacturers having these issues.

Love honda design but take yamaha over honda anyday. Honda are a little too under power for their utility sxs. The pioneer 1000 is not much more powerful than the viking.

Had a polaris ranger kept it a little over a year and sold it. Belts were already giving trouble. Hard to start in cold weather. Noisy engine, clunky , buck jumping going down hill. Never abused only light farm use. Traded it for a Honda pioneer had it six years now. Not as much speed but quieter, more agile. But will prolly try something different next time cause having engine trouble already with it and only 600hrs on it.

Completely unbiased but the yfz450r in a way better machine in the sense of tech and build quality,really isn't no comparison. Honda is a great reliable machine but it's so so dated wish they would build a new model aluminum frame with efi I'd love to see it! and I think they owe the consumer's that much.

Love your vids, I would like to inform folks who are thinking of buying a outlander to watch out for rusted frames. I just purchase a brand new 6 x 6 1000 Outlander XT Max 2020. The bike is 3 days old with 0.7 km on it. In fact I have not even driven the machine, just unloaded it. Got it into the shop and was installing the skid plate and notice that the inside the frame was rusted with the paint scaling off inside the square tubing. Not very good quality control I say. I took a video and posted here on the youtube for anyone who wants to have a view. I use my inspection cam and the rust is the whole way up on both sides of the fame....here is the link to the rusted frame... The left rear finder is also warp/bubbled out shape and stick out 1 1/2 compare to the right side... love the channel tks for sharing

Yfz suspension is very good stock but Honda is much lighter even with those welds and it’s engineering is simple, 1 cam 4 valves, and not to mention the green wire mod is kick ass...💨

Low range on a Viking feels like high range. Love my Viking but even with 27s it Boggs bad. I’ll probably do a clutch kit to help but it’s sad I even need to with that small of a tire.

Is the belt drive system on the viking good? How long does it last ? Vs the shaft on the pioneer.....I’ve always been a Honda person when it comes to atv’s. But the utv is a different story.
