Amazing frickin' job Man!. Love this song! Got a ton of lyrics about close to 100 just collecting dust. I write in my spare time. I also vocalize as well. Got amp with 2 mics.

That's so cool! I also got into singing a couple of years ago, but I can't write lyrics for the life of me :P
@derekstalb11 күн бұрын
That's ok Man, about the lyric writing I recently months ago grasped the difficult concept of this. I realize where you are coming from, it is frickin' difficult. The way i have been writing to help out is something will spark in my mind, mostly of personal anger, sadness , torn emotions etc, And of course you know there is a rhyme scheme pattern. And there is a constant chorus, repetitive. A bridge somewhere in the song content. And somehow I figured it has to make sense, to fit the title of the song, in some way. And to grasp the overall attention for the listener to love to hear over and over again. Anyway to help Man. Sincerely, Derek. I found there is a phenom guitarist named Derek Anderson, his cover material of loud heavy riffs rocks solid. And also a Drummer I found rocks hard named Drummin' With D his style is frickin' amazing of Metallica covers of One etc. I am so impressed by his style of pounding the drumkit. And of course I practice constantly on vocals i love it for all time. As long as it is ROCK related. It is alot of cover tunes, just to keep my voice steady and sharp. But I have my own material though. Tried looking into studios, nearby found it costs about 50 dollars an hour to record. The thing that sucks for me, I get paid from the state dept. for years, and all the applications put forward never amount to anything. No matter what i do. Can't seem to get hired. The truth man. The Jim Morrison thing you remember.

Awesome work, one of the last great Iron Maiden LPs in my opinion. You kind of look like Mille Petrozza from Kreator when he was younger, no weird shit.

I cover this one too. I think I played more correct notes but your plucking technique is much more like Harris's then mine is. Mine is nothing like the Harris right hand technique.

Damn your picking is fast! Playing gallop this fast with a pick is even harder than with fingers
@SanitysVoidАй бұрын
@@TheCostan Mike Kaufman the bass player on the track does this song with fingers. It is fast no matter how you are playing it.

This is the song that converted me from a new waver to a metal head. I cover it too but I over play on it.
@TheCostanАй бұрын
I watched your cover and I liked it a lot, and your bass and equipment are sick!
@SanitysVoidАй бұрын
@@TheCostan well like I say I over played it. It's not better then yours.
@TheCostanАй бұрын
@@SanitysVoid no musician is better than the other, everyone has their own style of playing, and as long as you can keep up with the song then it's totally fine (also: there's no such thing as "over playing"; if you feel like doing more than the original song then go for it, it doesn't make it "worse")
@SanitysVoidАй бұрын
@@TheCostan I am an accuracy freak so it matters to me. I just don't have that Harris style at all. I don't take my Iron Maiden covers seriously.

Brother, please tell me who wins the debate if Steve plays really light and soft or plucking really hard?😃 Are you plucking strings just down towards the body of bass with fingers straight or more towards yourself? Are there any other tips to play like you and Steve H?
@TheCostan4 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment, Steve actually plays very lightly and uses a lot of compression to bring out the sound, I use a similar technique but I play a bit harder since I don't use any compression while playing (I apply a bit of compression in editing to even out the sound). I pluck the strings towards the body of the bass. Also, I use the old Steve technique when he played near the bridge, now he plays more on the pickup itself. Hope I answered you.

Same here! I am a guitar player but saw how cool his basslines are and his work of the right hand. I just knew I had to learn it, and it had to be playing with my fingers, especially because I am using a pick on the guitar! So I decided - pick for a guitar, fingers for bass. It's been about 6 months now, I just learned to play Wrathchild; I can't feel cooler than that!
