Just bought the XH2s this week and I've been on a deep dive on youtube on the camera system. I must say, your page has inspired the hell out of me! great effing work man! keep it up!

I also have an XH2s and I think its colors are amazing. Are you thinking of making a video tutorial about color grading?
@arielnavarro717810 күн бұрын
Hey Zack! Love your videos. Do you have one explaining your colorgrading process?

Yeah, sometimes using Aces as your color space can cause issues like you just saw. I ran into these issues 2 years ago before Rec.2020 was widely known as Fujifilms F-Log Color Space. I personally choose Arri Wide Gamut 4 as my color space to convert my image to rec.709

Poor kid. Just use a stuffed animal lol.
@WalkingHeadPro29 күн бұрын
using CST with davinci wide gamut + flog 2 input then output into davinci intermediate/gamut seems to be a better solution than using arri wide gamut 4 as the initial input imo
@JaymesMedia18 күн бұрын
I’ll have to try this.

Solid video! Recently I have been having an issue with colors clipping bringing up the saturation or contrast, with reds/oranges/yellows mainly even with shooting in flog2c and using this CST workflow. Trying to figure out where I'm going wrong.

hey Zac, what do you have your camera temp set to if you're setting your Pavoslim to 3200k
@callumleakfilmsАй бұрын
Hi Zac, I love the approach to the grading and I learnt a lot from this video. I'm wondering why you are using Rec709 timeline not use DaVinci Wide Gamut/Intermediate for the colour space? Does this not limit your colour info? Please eat this comment for breakfast!
@CineGuiАй бұрын
same
@JaymesMedia18 күн бұрын
It does limit his information from nearly 14 to 6 stops of dynamic range sadly.

Subbed! I'll be taking a similar approach fairly soon - got the bits I need and now my daughter has been born, I have the excuse to use it. And hopefully my long-suffering wife won't mind so much if it's nice shots of the baby!! Lovely result from the video and really enjoyed your enthusiasm. I know just what you mean about being pleased with the gear you bought. And I totally agree about grading.

What mic do you use and do you do any post processing?
@zacfoxmakesvideosАй бұрын
@@davemorphling7432 annoyingly I use a neumann tlm 103, but any condenser mic can sound really nice. I use a light bit of EQ, compression, leveller.

Joel Famularo (from Phantom Luts) recently commented on a facebook post that he would be working shortly on a F-Log2 C version for Phantom Luts and that they would be free for people who had already purchased the ones for F-Log2!
