How do you make the sensitivity higher on the drum? I have to hit it hard to get a response.
@Vook7 жыл бұрын
Hi. I'm sorry, but I never tried modding it myself. I haven't played this game in a long time (years literally), and I do remember that you had to hit the drum fairly hard. I think you should be able to find some online tutorials on how to mod the drum though.

What? did the screen actually FLASH!?
@Vook8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, some charts have that trick where certain arrows actually make the whole screen flash. Super Fantasy D21 does too.

Such an amazing piece, I can feel the rush of the brooks, and the delight it carries around each bend. And, it is played by my brilliant son, for my birthday.

A fabulous interpretation. I think you know where your strengths and weaknesses are so I won't comment on that. A great tribute to your dear cat...RIP! Yes, this piece is notoriously difficult, I have just started learning it and I'm really feeling kinda swampy about it. But that ending, those simple yet elegant chords that just make the whole structure collapse into a serene pleasure unlike any other....ah me! It makes wading through the swamp all the more worthwhile!
@Vook10 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I miss him. A lot. I'm glad you like this interpretation, because I've played again for my other teacher (in California) and her idea of the "proper" interpretation is very different from this...the first section is supposed to be richer and more passionate, while the middle is stately like a hymn, and the piece gets progressively more mellow all the way to the end. I still play this piece today (as I don't have many pieces in my repertoire now that I'm working full-time and studying for the CPA exam), and the way I play it now sounds very different from this.
@MDkid110 жыл бұрын
Vook You should do a remake. Yes, what you've stated about the piece is true. But if you can keep in mind that the entire piece is one long meandering river then you've got the jist of it.

Holy crap, nice, I can only get a decent A around 15-20 misses on the S20 chart. This D23 is a gigantic difference because of it's turns and twists.

pure beauty! one of the very delicate performances of the composition. i was wondering if we could use it for a festival film project - because it transcends the idea behind the key scene exceptionally well ?

So how durable are the Wii Taiko drums? I've been thinking about picking it up myself but I'm a bit afraid I'll just smash the drums to pieces by accident when hitting to hard.
@Vook11 жыл бұрын
Actually, they're pretty durable. I never had problems from hitting them too hard. But then again, I haven't played this game in a long time because I lost my sticks, and because the noise would disturb my apartment neighbors.
@saiyoucho11 жыл бұрын
That sounds great! Maybe I should pick it up then. I heard the 2 latest games have 100+ songs and it's pretty cheap at bookoff in akihabara usually.

Only the classic "Clair de Lune". I'm also familiar with (though I cannot play) some of his other more famous non-piano works-in one of my college classes we did an in-depth analysis on the structure of "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" and "Nuages".
@Vook11 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, thanks for your comments! Sorry I didn't see them sooner - they got flagged as spam for some reason. Have you learned any Debussy yourself?
@TimKarplus11 жыл бұрын
Very moody, this one.
@TimKarplus11 жыл бұрын
This is very beautiful. I'm really enjoying these Debussy pieces! It's very cool that you did a whole performance of his compositions-I'm impressed by how much variety there is to his catalog. Also, you seem to find a good affect and mood for each piece, emphasizing the unique character of each. Thanks for sharing these!

I would if I had improvements, My MK6 died so I have gone back to perfect collection / premiere 2 / ect. Then I start going to the arcade again, only for them to double the costs a few months later. With all said, I have yet to improve any at all. The hardest A on both modes are still D13 and S17. So..Until I replace my MK6, I will be out of luck when it comes to pump, At this rate i may just have to build one and go openitg / SM5... And yeah...here I am still making new accounts on ph lmao.

Dang, man. And here I was all psyched when I actually passed Paranoia Expert doubles on DDR SuperNova. Well done sir.
@Vook11 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. It's good to hear from you - PH has been really quiet lately. The community was much bigger in the past, but a lot of people have moved on it seems. I'd recommend that you continue to track your own progress at the game too. That's what the Accomplishments thread is for - personal improvement. It's great to see there are still people who are motivated to get better at the game, and trust me, even if no one else reads the thread, I still will. It's pretty much become a part of me.

Very nice video. You can complain about not being as good as others all you want but you are still amazing at this game. Its moments like this where I wish Andamiro would release a bracketless conversion at least for the center arrows so the older dancefloors can keep up with the newer mixes.
@Vook11 жыл бұрын
Thanks! This one of those days where I played really well and got scores that I won't have any idea how to get the next time I play...before this I got a fluke A on Arirang D20 when I hadn't even B'd it before.

I don't know...a lot of my friends IRL and on youtube say I'm actually really good for a girl...but I do think I still have a lot to improve on...and well I haven't played that much for the past few months due to having a terrible sore throat of streptococcus, finally getting better though so I'll probably get back to playing...also busy with college...
@Vook12 жыл бұрын
Thanks, but you really haven't seen me play lately. I just played last weekend for the first time in a month (busy at grad school, and now there's no machine within an hour). At the moment you're actually better than I am, haha. But yeah, Kevin is really good and Roberto is just amazing. That's what happens when you own a machine.
@AngelStar29112 жыл бұрын
Nah you play good...I kinda wish I was as good as you, Roberto, Kevin, etc...you guys are awesome PIU players :)

No I haven't played that one yet, but I do have that chart recorded, but I didn't play it...as for the Doubles...no I haven't tried any of those 2 charts...but I do plan to try those out
@Vook12 жыл бұрын
Have you ever played I'm The Best Full S18? It's even easier than this (but it's fun). I haven't tried the Doubles for either full song yet...maybe the ratings were switched around or something, who knows...
@AngelStar29112 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Definitely easier than a 17, I'd give it maybe an easy 16 or a hard 15...no barring this is easy...the only really hard part is the ending with the twists and turns.
@Vook12 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I didn't think I would like it much myself, but it's actually pretty fun. The S20 and D23 though... >.<

First time I've heard an Asian guy play this! It's about time! I love the piece because it's so obvious that Debussy was listening to Chinese instrumental music and was inspired by it so much! I can even hear the Di zi in that one part. Nice job!
